• run ffmpeg commands from my own project

  I'm starting a project where I want ppl to upload videos of a talk and a the video of slides for that talk and want to merge them (to play at the same time) and then show results.

  My question is :
  Is it possible to do that from code ? if it is, can you point me to the right doc ?
  I was able to do it running command line, but as I want this to run on a server with different ppl uploading their videos I think this would not be the best approach.
  I have a preference for Java if it's possible to do it, but I can manage to use other languages what do you guys suggest ?

  The idea would be to have a service where I can point the urls of the videos stored in my server and it would merge them and save file where I can later stream. With different ppl uploading videos at the same time and being able to watch the result in a reasonable amount of time.

• ffmpegthumbnailer issue : dyld : Library not loaded : /usr/local/lib/libavutil.52.18.100.dylib

  When I try to run ffmpegthumbnailer, I get the following error :

  dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libavutil.52.18.100.dylib
  
    Referenced from: /usr/local/bin/ffmpegthumbnailer
  
    Reason: image not found
  
    Trace/BPT trap: 5

  I installed ffmpeg using the directions here :

  In my /usr/local/lib folder, I have the file "libavutil.a", but not the one specified in the error mesage.

  How can I solve this error ?

  This is what I was using to try to generate a thumbnail :

  ffmpegthumbnailer -i /public/uploads/tmp/1382121359-37490-7826/thumb_Untitled.mov -o /public/uploads/tmp/1382121359-37490-7826/tmpfile.png -c png -q 10 -s 158

• FFMPEG Dash libvorbis page samples error

  When using the guide http://wiki.webmproject.org/adaptive-streaming/instructions-to-playback-adaptive-webm-using-dash to encode several webm streams the audio stream is not correctly encoded by ffmpeg.

  ffmpeg -i input_audio.wav -c:a libvorbis -b:a 128k -vn -f webm -dash 1 audio_128k.webm

  When creating the manifest and loading the stream into ExoPlayer (but the same problem occurs in the reference javascript implementation dash.js), the error states :

  [...] SoftVorbis.cpp:314 CHECK_GE( inHeader->nFilledLen,sizeof(numPageSamples)) failed: 1 vs. 4

  The stream works flawlessly when not including the audio stream in the manifest.

  I’m using ffmpeg version 2.5.6-0ubuntu0.15.04.1

  Does anyone know what the problem might be ?
