  • Live webcam stream to mjpeg file [on hold]

    20 mars 2018, par neph94

I am looking for a way for ffmpeg or any other alternative to be able to continuously stream data to an mjpeg (or any other) file. There would be a size limitation to it. When exceeded oldest frames would just be removed to make space.

Basically, what I am looking is ffserver with an option to stream locally to a file without serving it on an HTTP server.

  • Use ffmpeg for incoming youtube HLS live stream and output to rtmp

    14 avril 2018, par hrs

I can’t get ffmpeg to work with live streams from youtube. Normal non-live videos work just fine. But with live streams ffmpeg seems like it doesn’t make enough requests for new segments. It basically downloads, say a 3 second segment, then nothing happens for 10 seconds or so, then it downloads a new segment, repeat...

    ffmpeg -i '$(./youtube-dl -f best -g https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emGI3UrzIMc)' -f flv rtmp://192.168.0.11/myapp/mystream

So what’s the automagic command ?

Following is the output of the command above. The <my note="note"></my> is added by me for description purposes.

At start execution goes smoothly. It then freezes for 10 or 15 sec at <my note="note" 1="1"></my>. It then downloads the part of the stream - <my note="note" 2="2"></my>, plays is, then freezes again for some seconds. Then downloads the next part - <my note="note" 3="3"></my>, plays it, freezes, and so on...

  • Live video stream tweaking with ffmpeg DJI Android mobile SDK

    14 mars 2018, par jmoore3274

I’m trying to learn how to work with and tweak the live video stream from an X3 camera.

I know that the DJI Mobile SDK for android uses ffmpeg for decoding and I know the class’s that I will probably need to use are the DJICodecManager class and the VideoFeeder class. However I can’t seem to find much documentation on how to incorporate ffmpeg filters into the live video stream. For example I would like to see if I can flip the image using ffmpeg using the following :

    ffmpeg -i in.avi -vf "hflip" out.avi

Can someone point me in the correct direction of some documentation or examples I might not have seen yet ?
