  • ffmpeg transcode video with dts-ma to ac3

    12 juin 2015, par John Galt

    I’m trying to take a video that has an h264 video track and a dts-ma audio track and and get out an .m4v file with :

    h264 video track
    DTS-ma audio track
    AC-3 5.1 Audio track

    I’m attempting to just copy the video and the dts-ma audio track and then have it convert the AC-3 audio track

    I’m getting an error Unable to find a suitable output format for 'ac3' from this command :

    ffmpeg -i "input.mkv" -map 0:0 -map 0:1 -map 0:1 -map 0:1 -c:v copy -c:a:0 copy -c:a:1 -acodec ac3 -ac 6 -ab 448k -c:a:2 -acodec ac3 -ac 6 -ab 256 -ar 48000 "output.m4v"

    (this is generated by my C# app)

    this for a different file that has h264 and ac3 already in it works fine :

    ffmpeg -i "input.mkv" -map 0:0 -map 0:1 -c:v copy -c:a:0 copy "output.m4v"

    Obviously it’s not doing a conversion.

    Here’s the full results of the first command :

  • Warning : passthru() has been disabled for security reasons in _audioconverter_scheduler_ffmpeg_helper

    10 décembre 2012, par Meggy

    I am using the audioconverter module with the audiorecorderfield module in Drupal 7 with ffmpeg on my own vps running Aegir and Nginx. The audioconverter module has stopped converting wav files to mp3. Here's the error ;

    Warning: passthru() has been disabled for security reasons in _audioconverter_scheduler_ffmpeg_helper() (line 358 of /mysite/drupal-7.16/sites/all/modules/audioconverter/audioconverter.module).

    And in my logs ;

    MESSAGE: executing: /usr/bin/ffmpeg -i /mysite/drupal-7.16/sites/default/files/1354856044.wav /mysite/drupal-7.16/sites/default/files/1354856044.wav.mp3

    MESSAGE: Audio conversion failed. FFMPEG reported the following output:

    SEVERITY: error

    MESSAGE: converted file is an empty file.

    I can see the wav file is created by the audiorecorderfield module but the audioconverter module is failing on the conversion.

    Here is my ffmpeg info ;

  • Converting avi to mp4 (use ffmpeg library) is very slow [closed]

    7 décembre 2012, par yAnTar

    I have task - convert any video from user to mp4 format.
    I use command

    ffmpeg -i $file -vcodec libx264 -vpre ultrafast -bt 500k -acodec libfaac -ab 56k -ac 2 -s 480x320 $outputFileMp4

    I try to change options bitrate, dimensions, but spped of converting is slow - 3 mbytes convert arround 90 seconds.

    If i convert avi to flv - no problem.
