hls live streaming using ffmpeg in iOS
25 mars 2015, par chetanI am new to ffmpeg and I am trying to create live streaming app (HLS) and I want Live broadcasting rather than VOD.
I am able to use ffmpeg through terminal and create .ts files from m4v but I am not getting how to achieve the same thing in iPhone.
My approach is to create .ts files at iPhone end and then send it to server.
I am not sure if this approach is correct, If this correct how I can create .ts files then otherwise what's the right approach ?

c/c++ program for ffmpeg command line

ffmpeg -i sample.mp4 -an -vcodec libx264 -crf 23 outfile.h264which convert a sample.mp4 file to outfile.h264, and
ffplay outfile.h264What I am doing is to combine the ffmpeg program with my udp socket program to do a real-time video transmission. beacause it is 'real-time', so I want to find the ffmpeg program cut it at the frame encoding step instead of writing the frames into output file, and send frame by frame and also read frame by frame at the server side.
My questions are:
1.What c/c++ program is actually running when I use the above command line?
2.where can i find the c/c++ program?

Converting Mp3 to Wav with User Input Issue

Fedora 19. Cant install ffmpeg via yum
25 mars 2015, par Ricardo RenteríaIm trying to install ffmpeg to encode videos to html5 playback (mp4, ogg, etc...) i already added the rpmfusion repos. Im using Fedora 19 in Rackspace Cloud Server.

So i added the skip if unavailable option to fedora.repo and fedora-updates.repo After, This is the output for the failed yum install ffmpeg

How to quantify and compare video quality
24 mars 2015, par user940154I have a set of uncompressed videos in YUV format.
I have obtained several derived copies in various formats and resolutions from these yuv files using FFmpeg transcoding. (YUVs ----> X Derived Copies)
What I have also done is, transcode the yuv's into same resolution AVIs, and now obtained the same set of derived (transcoded) videos treating the AVIs as master. (AVIs ----> X Derived Copies)
Now I wish to compare the quality of transcoded videos, when derived from AVIs to those derived from YUVs.
Is there any way for me to do this using FFmpeg. How? If not, can you please suggest some good open source software to do this.
