Trying to use FFMPEG in C using Codeblocks IDE under Windows 8.1
31 octobre 2013, par obelixI have been trying to use FFMPEG in C using Codeblocks IDE under Windows 8.1. I've done the linking stuff required in order to make my code compile but i get the following error:
C:\Users\user\Desktop\MScProject\FFmpegTest2\main.c|82|error: 'CODEC_TYPE_VIDEO' undeclared (first use in this function)|
The source i use is the one from the following tutorial http://dranger.com/ffmpeg/tutorial01.c
(original link: http://dranger.com/ffmpeg/tutorial01.html)
Any ideas ?? Thanks in advance !! (btw the same thing happens when i am trying to compile the program in ubuntu)

How can I convert a text file to audio (mp3) using ffmpeg on Ubuntu 11.04 ?
31 octobre 2013, par nwaomachuxI would like to output .mp3 file from a text file on Ubuntu 11.04, using ffmpeg. Please, how do I do this? The best I could output is a .wav file. I intend to be able to use it in a Python file.
My output method for .wav is espeak -s 155 -a 200 -f details.txt -w details.wav

In Android, how can I display mp4 files captured by Android itself without having "sorry this video cannot be played" trouble ?
31 octobre 2013, par fercisI am new in Android and have an application as follows:
1) I record videos by my phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 2). 2) I send video files (mp4) to a cloud (Dropbox in my example) without any change in encoding. And store the URL of the sent video on the cloud.
And when the application is in view video mode, 3) I want to view the videos with the URL (which may be captured by other client Applications) in videoview.
I cannot view the videos that are captured by the phone itself. There are many discussions in SO about the encoding compatibility (H 263, H 264 etc.).
However, I could not manage to find a way to CHANGE the encoding of the video to be recorded by the application. Camera.Parameters class has the encoding information only for pictures. The quality is not important, I only want to capture videos which can be directly played in the same Android application without any change.

Decoding audio via Android using FFMpeg
31 octobre 2013, par Rob HauptI can play Wav files using the below code without issues. When trying to play the exact same media in Mp3 format I only get garbled junk. I believe I am fundamentally misunderstanding how the avcodec_decode_audio3 function works.
Since the Wav file contains PCM data when it is decoded it can go straight to the AudioTrack.write function. There must be some additional step to get Mp3s to work like this. I don't know what I'm missing, but I've been pulling my hair out for a week now.
Java Code
