Wrap a stream of raw H264 NALUs into a container like MP4
7 mai 2012, par cloudravenI have an application that sends raw h264 NALUs as generated from encoding on the fly using x264 x264_encoder_encode. I am getting them through plain TCP so I am not missing any frames.
I need to be able to decode such a stream in the client using Hardware Acceleration in Windows (DXVA2). I have been struggling to find a way to get this to work using FFMPEG. Perhaps it may be easier to try Media Foundation or DirectShow, but they won't take raw H264.
I either need to :-
Change the code from the server application to give back an mp4 stream. I am not that experienced with x264. I was able to get raw H264 by calling x264_encoder_encode, by following the answer to this question : How does one encode a series of images into H264 using the x264 C API ? How can I go from this to something that is wrapped in MP4 while still being able to stream it in realtime
-
I could at the receiver wrap it with mp4 headers and feed it into something that can play it using DXVA. I wouldn't know how to do this
-
I could find another way to accelerate it using DXVA with FFMPEG or something else that takes it in raw format.
An important restriction is that I need to be able to pre-process each decoded frame before displaying it. Any solution that does decoding and displaying in a single step would not work for me
I would be fine with either solution

Motion Vectors and DC coefficients from MPEG4 stream
9 octobre 2013, par LampisI need to extract information about motion vectors and DC coefficients from an MPEG4 video. I've searched relevant sites and topics and I found that a good solution is to work with the code of ffmpeg codec. Especially the ff_print_debug_info function in libavcodec/mpegvideo.c calculates relevant information.
However, I'm new on the C/C++ field and if there is any example code that describes or explains how to extract MVs and DC coefficients that would be very helpful.
In the more recent version I use (FFmpeg 0.10.2 from http://ffmpeg.org/download.html) there is another file mpeg4videodec.c. Is there any chance to retrieve the needed information by this code ?

Stream H264 To Android Using FFMPEG
26 février 2013, par GroovyDotComI'm trying to stream a .ts file containing H.264 and AAC as an RTP stream to an Android device.
I tried :
.\ffmpeg -fflags +genpts -re -i 1.ts -vcodec copy -an -f rtp rtp ://127.0.0.1:10
000 -vn -acodec copy -f rtp rtp ://127.0.0.1:20000 -newaudioFFMPEG displays what should be in your SDP file and I copied this into an SDP file and tried playing from VLC and FFPLAY. VLC plays audio but just gives errors re : bad NAL unit types for video. FFPLAY doesn't play anything.
My best guess if that the FFMPEG H.264 RTP implementation is broken or at least it doesn't work in video passthru mode (i.e. using the -vcodec copy).
I need a fix for FFMPEG or an alternate simple open-source solution. I don't want to install FFMPEG in my Android client.
thanks.
