HTML5 audio and video support
13 avril 2011, parMediaSPIP uses HTML5 video and audio tags to play multimedia files, taking advantage of the latest W3C innovations supported by modern browsers.
The MediaSPIP player used has been created specifically for MediaSPIP and can be easily adapted to fit in with a specific theme.
For older browsers the Flowplayer flash fallback is used.
MediaSPIP allows for media playback on major mobile platforms with the above (...)

Convert wmv to mp4 with ffmpeg failing
10 janvier 2012, par MorphI've seen quite a few posts on this, but I can't piece together whether I am doing things right, wrong, or need to download more stuff. I am converting from wmv to mp4 without complaints, but then when I go to play it on the browser window (HTML5) the player just turns grey and blanks out the controls.
Installing ffmpeg I do
./configure --disable-yasm ; make ; make install
Unless I include the disable yasm it wont go any further. Then I do
ffmpeg -i myvideo.wmv myvideo.mp4
All good so far. In my html source I have :
<video width="320" height="240" controls="controls">
<source src="myvideo.mp4" type="'video/mp4;" codecs="avc1.42E01E, mp4a.40.2"></source>
Your browser does not support the video tag.
</video>I am playing this in Chrome 15 and
ffmpeg -v
isffmpeg version 0.8.6, Copyright (c) 2000-2011 the FFmpeg developers
built on Dec 1 2011 15:42:06 with gcc 4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-51)
configuration: --disable-yasm
libavutil 51. 9. 1 / 51. 9. 1
libavcodec 53. 7. 0 / 53. 7. 0
libavformat 53. 4. 0 / 53. 4. 0
libavdevice 53. 1. 1 / 53. 1. 1
libavfilter 2. 23. 0 / 2. 23. 0
libswscale 2. 0. 0 / 2. 0. 0So I get the HTML5, click on it to play the movie but then the control bar greys out, leaving the play button, but then the play button cannot be clicked and nothing plays.
Is there something wrong with what I have done above ? Do I need to download some separate mp4 driver and compile it ? I see people referring to h.264 but I thoughts ffmpeg had that already included...

HTTP Live streaming iOS not refreshing the index .m3u8 file
27 février 2013, par Emerson FittipaldiI searched all similar questions on StackOverflow, but found none to answer my problem.
I am trying to stream some movies from my Linux computer (openSuSE 12.1) to my iPad. I convert them with ffmpeg, segment them with my own segmenter, place them in the www folder of my apache2 server and also place inside the .m3u8 playlist. Til here - all is ok !
I start playing the movie (HTML page with tag) and it plays nicely, but only the first five segments, which have been loaded with the first load of the playlist. The HTML page (the browser, or the player - no idea) does not refresh (re-download) the playlist from the server. Here is what my .m3u8 playlist file looks like :
#EXTM3U
#EXT-X-MEDIA-SEQUENCE:19
#EXT-X-TARGETDURATION:8
#EXTINF:8,
http://192.168.1.4/segment_19.ts
#EXTINF:8,
http://192.168.1.4/segment_20.ts
#EXTINF:8,
http://192.168.1.4/segment_21.ts
#EXTINF:8,
http://192.168.1.4/segment_22.ts
#EXTINF:8,
http://192.168.1.4/segment_23.tsSegments are in the same folder as the playlist file, segments are correctly encoded (because I can see at least the first five ones :D). I also watch the access_log from the apache server and I see the first load of the playlist, then the consequent load of all 5 segments and it stops till there. It doesn't even try to further refresh the m3u8 file.
If it matters - iOS 5.0, iPad 2, Wi-Fi version only, not jailbroken
Ideas ? What am I doing wrong ?

Use ffmpeg to watermark and scale an image on video
11 mai 2015, par Ae.I want to be able to watermark videos with a logo image, which contains a website url.
The videos can be of different formats and dimension.
I’m trying to figure out a generic ffmpeg command to achieve it, so that i don’t have to tweak the command depending on the video i have to process.
So far i got :ffmpeg -i sample.mov -sameq -acodec copy -vf 'movie=logo.png [watermark]; [in][watermark] overlay=main_w-overlay_w-10:main_h-overlay_h-10 [out]' sample2.mov
In this way though the logo will look too big or too small with video of different size.
I’ve seen there is a scale option for avfilter, but I haven’t figure out whether it’s possible to resize the image logo based on the dimension of the input video, so that I can say to scale the logo to 1/3 of the video length for example, and keep the image ratio.Any idea ? doesn’t need to be done in a single command, could even be a script.
thanks in advance.
