  • Support audio et vidéo HTML5

    10 avril 2011

  • php exec() works on some calls, not other similar ones

    15 mai 2013, par Kyle

I have a php script that cuts up video. Here are three exec() commands - two execute properly while one does not :

    Works :

    sudo ffmpeg -i /home/vidserver/videos/$filename.mp4 -ss $ctime -t 00:00:06 -acodec copy -vcodec copy -y /var/vidcache/test$x.mp4

    Works :

    sudo ffmpeg -i /var/vidcache/test$x.mp4 -qscale:v 1
    /var/vidcache/i$x.mpg

    Does not work :

    sudo ffmpeg -i
    concat :"i0.mpg|i1.mpg"
    -qscale:v 1 /var/vidcache/output.mpg

/var/vidcache has 777 privs and www-data is in the sudoers file with NOPASSWD (yes, I know - this is just for debug purposes before I lock down security).

When I run the last command from a php script from the command line by itself, it DOES work. (Running as www-data or root.) But when I try to put it in a function called from a web page, it does NOT work.

    Any ideas ?

  • undefined reference to 'memset' while configuring ffmpeg

20 mai 2013, par Jacques Giraudel

I want to port ffmpeg on android to use it in an app (to convert video files in webm format).

I use the following command to configure FFMPEG :

    ./configure --target-os=linux \
       --cross-prefix=arm-linux-androideabi \
       --arch=arm-linux \
       --sysroot=$TC_SYSROOT \
       --nm=$NM \
       --ar=$AR \
       --cc=$CC \
       --ld=$LD \
       --disable-symver \
       --enable-small \
       --enable-libvorbis \
       --enable-libvpx \
       --extra-cflags="-I$PROJECT_BASE/jni/libvorbis/build/include -I$PROJECT_BASE/jni/libogg/build/include -I$PROJECT_BASE/jni/libvpx/libvpx -I$PROJECT_BASE/jni/libvpx/libvpx/build/install/include" \
       --extra-ldflags="-L$PROJECT_BASE/jni/libvorbis/build/lib -L$PROJECT_BASE/jni/libogg/build/lib -L$PROJECT_BASE/jni/libvpx/libvpx/build/install/lib" \
       --prefix=$PROJECT_BASE/jni/ffmpeg/build

I use a standalone toolchain (NDK compiler version : 4.6). I dont use the AS of the toolchain, when I try the command block (I have waited for 10 minutes without response, some starting infos in the config.log and it seems to block at the beginning of the compilation). The different lib and directory added are the build install of the libraries needed (ogg, vorbis and vpx).

    I obtain this message :

     /Bureau/TripApp/jni/ffmpeg /Bureau/TripApp/jni /Bureau/TripApp/jni
ERROR : libvpx decoder version must be >=0.9.1

When I look at the config.log file, I have :

ERROR: libvpx decoder version must be >=0.9.1

I have also a warning at the beginning of the file :

WARNING: arm-linux-androideabipkg-config not found, library detection may fail.

And many other errors which seem to be not blocking (eg : related to the support of older ARM version than the targeted one)

libvpx is configured using the following command (the make succeeds) :

    ./libvpx/configure --target=armv5te-android-gcc --disable-examples \
                       --sdk-path=$NDK_BASE --prefix=$PROJECT_BASE/jni/libvpx/libvpx/build

The NDK version used is r8e.

    My search on this :
The libvpx version used is 1.1.0, memset is a function defined in string.h. String.h is present in the include dir of the sysroot used (and memset is defined).

Do you see what could be the source of the problem ?

  • ffmpeg pipe webcam stream input to two outputs image and video with audio included

23 septembre 2017, par Arianna Gomez Vargas

I have the next command :

    sudo ffmpeg -ar 44100 -ac 2 -f alsa -i hw:1,0 -f v4l2 -codec:v h264       -codec:a aac -ab 128k -framerate 30 -video_size hd720 -itsoffset 0.5 -i /dev/video0 -vf fps=1 snapsh%d.png -f mpeg -b:v 5000k -copyinkf -codec:v copy -codec:a aac -ab 128k -g 10 - | sudo ffmpeg -y -i - out.mp4

and the objetive it is record audio and video simultaneously, and pipe the output to be capable to take screnshots of the output video. I’m using a logitech webcam, raspberry pi 3, the last version of ffmpeg with h264 and alsa support.

But it is not working for me :(, I think that the problem it is enconding the audio stream, but I can find a solution yet.
Someone have any suggest ? Thanks
