• Install FFMPEG on WAMP

  I’ve probably spent over 12 hours trying to install FFMPEG on WAMP. I’m aware that other people have had this question answered on this site, however it does not work for my setup.

  I have tried the below :

  Download ffmpeg_new
  
  Copy php_ffmpeg.dll from the php5 folder to the C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.2.9-2\ext
  
  Copy files from common to the windows/system32 folder
  
  Add extension=php_ffmpeg.dll to php.ini file
  
  Restarted all services (Apache, PHP...)

  My current setup is PHP 5.2.1, Apache 2.0.63. I have a Windows 7 64bit computer.

  I get the following error in my PHP error log :

  [22-Jun-2012 01:39:31] PHP Warning : PHP Startup : Unable to load dynamic library ’c :/wamp/bin/php/php5.2.1/ext/php_ffmpeg.dll’ - The specified module could not be found.
  in Unknown on line 0

  Obviously I have placed the module in the ext folder.

  Phpinfo.php verifies that the FFMPEG module is not being loaded. I have tried installing PHP 5.3 (with a later FFMPEG version), 5.2.6 and 5.2.9-2, but the module still fails to load. Is there anything else I should try ? Does having a 64bit Windows 7 computer make any difference ?

  All the search results for this seem to return Linux command line solutions.

  The bug means that although a video is successfully converted, an error message

  "lame : output buffer too small (buffer index : 10398, free bytes : 394)
  Audio encoding failed (avcodec_encode_audo2)"

  is returned to the software that I am using with it. Apparently, downgrading the version of lame to 3.97 will solve this problem. But again, I have only found fixes for this in Linux.

  Edit : I get the above error message when I try to convert a given Mpeg file to flv using the following (or similar) command :

  "-i " + sourceVideoPath + " -sameq -ar 22050 " + outputVideoPath;

  The error message is same whether run from my program or direct from the command line.

  I have also tried to download the latest static version of FFmpeg from here but the error message remains.

  Could anyone direct me on how to downgrade the lame version in windows, or point me to a download without the bug, or tell me of any other way to solve this ?

• how to merge any video to my intro using ffmpeg

  I have a single intro video. I want to add the intro using ffmpeg or a similar program in the beggining of the users uploaded video (and yes I do need to merge them in one file, so it would be possible to download it later)
  I`ve been searching internet and it suggests to convert both (intro and the other video) in to .mpg format.

  OK, so far so good, but now when I try to join them together I get

  [mpeg4 @ 0x5547c60]Invalid and inefficient vfw-avi packed B frames detected

  So I`m guessing it is because of something being different in both videos, like frame rate or size.
  The worst thing is users are allowed to upload videos in almost any formats, also 240p-720p quality, so there is not one default size to convert the intro video into.

  How could this be done ?
