  • Errors in FFMPEG and AVCONV (error count , error y=31 x=16 , overread 8 )

    14 mai 2014, par Kotik_o

    I have a Dlink camera DCS-932L.

I want to get video -> image.

To do that I execute :

    avconv -i http://user:pass@[IP]/video.cgi?user=user&password=pass&channel=0&.mjpg "%d.jpeg"

A few times I get errors like :

    [mjpeg @ 0x18a1240] error y=31 x=16

    or

    error count : 64

    or

    overread 8

there is a way to discard this errors ? If I have a bad image doesn’t matter. I want that avconv or ffmpeg continues with saving images...

    Thanks for your time.

  • ffmpeg with multiple live inputs [closed]

    9 juin 2013, par maddanio

we are trying to get ffmpeg to combine multiple live streams into one. In principle we got it to work by mosaicing the streams like so :

    ffmpeg -rtsp_transport tcp -r 25 -i rtsp ://root:password@192.168.178.91:554/axis-media/media.amp \
    -rtsp_transport tcp -r 25 -i rtsp ://root:password@192.168.178.92:554/axis-media/media.amp \
    -filter_complex "[0:0]pad=iw*2:ih[a] ;[a][1:0]overlay=w" ...

the problem though is that ffmpeg seems to start the input streams at significantly different times, so that there is about a 1 second shift between the streams, that remains throughout. Now we do have correct time stamps (pts) on both streams. Can we somehow tell ffmpeg to respect those and use them to align the streams correctly ?

  • FFMPEG Error VC1 to X264 (maybe decoding VC1)

    29 janvier 2013, par Xatian

I am encountering the following error when transcoding using FFMPEG.
It seams to me that it's an error decoding the VC1 format and has actually nothing to do with the target format (x264) I want to transcode.

I tracked the error to this source-file :

    http://cekirdek.pardus.org.tr/ ismail/ffmpeg-docs/vc1_8c-source.html

but I don't know how to set the profile to a value != simple.
