    Jolie sélection multiple
    Le plugin Chosen permet d’améliorer l’ergonomie des champs de sélection multiple. Voir les deux images suivantes pour comparer.
    Il suffit pour cela d’activer le plugin Chosen (Configuration générale du site > Gestion des plugins), puis de configurer le plugin (Les squelettes > Chosen) en activant l’utilisation de Chosen dans le site public et en spécifiant les éléments de formulaires à améliorer, par exemple select[multiple] pour les listes à sélection multiple (...)

    Ce plugin vise à gérer des sites de mise en ligne de documents de tous types.
    Il crée des "médias", à savoir : un "média" est un article au sens SPIP créé automatiquement lors du téléversement d’un document qu’il soit audio, vidéo, image ou textuel ; un seul document ne peut être lié à un article dit "média" ;

    MediaSPIP 0.2 est la première version de MediaSPIP stable.
    Sa date de sortie officielle est le 21 juin 2013 et est annoncée ici.
    Le fichier zip ici présent contient uniquement les sources de MediaSPIP en version standalone.
    Comme pour la version précédente, il est nécessaire d’installer manuellement l’ensemble des dépendances logicielles sur le serveur.
    Si vous souhaitez utiliser cette archive pour une installation en mode ferme, il vous faudra également procéder à d’autres modifications (...)

  • Getting length of video

    I am having trouble finding a simple example of how to get the video length of a file programmatically. Many people say, oh use this library/wrapper or whatever, but do not say how. I have downloaded ffmpeg, but have no clue how to actually use it and there does not seem to be any example of how to use it to get the video duration. I see how you can use it to convert videos, but I simply just want to know the duration of a video. All of the other information does not matter.

    Is there any way of doing this simply, whether it be in C#, python, java, whatever, that will just return a string that indicates the length of a video file.

    Please provide examples if possible. Thanks in advance !

    Assume standard file formats, such as wmv, avi, mp4, mpeg. Stuff that has metadata.

  • Value range for AVCodecContex::global_quality, ::compression_level and AVFrame::quality

    I’m trying to compress video using different codecs (WMV, MP4, H264, VP8, VP9) using FFmpeg / libav. I’m unsure on how to set the global and per-frame quality values. Even the range of values is unclear to me. The docs are not helpful.
    Currently I’m using :

    AVCodecContex::global_quality = FF_QP2LAMBDA * quality; // no idea about range, default seems to be 0
    
AVCodecContex::compression_level = 0; // There is FF_COMPRESSION_DEFAULT (-1), which seems to be the default
    
AVFrame::quality = FF_LAMBDA_MAX * quality; // docs say range is [1, FF_LAMBDA_MAX], default seems to be 0

    quality is in the range [0,1], where 0 means best image quality. Only 0 seems to do anything for me and leads to ok-quality videos. All other values produce low-quality output.
    Any clarification on how to set these values is welcome.
