• ffmpeg : error using image2 demuxer

  From the image2 demuxer of ffmpeg documentation, creating an MKV file from a set of JPEG pictures seems simple.

  But when I run :

  ffmpeg -v debug -i 'img-%03d.jpeg' out.mkv 

  It fails and reports :

  I tried with different releases of ffmpeg and behaviour is the same.
  Running it with strace doesnot show any try to open some files, so surely I miss something...

• Undefined reference to av_log

  I am cross-compiling FFMPEG source in Linux for Windows using i686-w64-mingw32 using this script :

  ../ffmpeg/configure --disable-ffmpeg --disable-ffprobe --disable-ffplay --disable-shared --enable-static --arch=x86 --target-os=mingw32 --cross-prefix=i686-w64-mingw32- --enable-cross-compile

  And it generates all static library files with extension *.a inside "lib" folder. Then I try to link those libraries with my own source, with this script :

  i686-w64-mingw32-gcc -m32 -c videoplayer.c -o videoplayer.o -w $(INCLUDEDIR) -Wl,--add-stdcall-alias
  
  i686-w64-mingw32-gcc -static -m32 -o libvideoplayer.dll videoplayer.o -Wl,--out-implib,libvideoplayer_dll.lib -Wl,--add-stdcall-alias -L../../ffmpeg/lib -lavdevice -lavformat -lavcodec -lavutil -lwsock32 -lswresample ../../ffmpeg/lib/libWs2_32.lib

  And I got this bunch of error messages :

• FFmpeg, how to skip late input ?

  I’m running ffmpeg to display incoming stream on a Decklink BlackMagic card with the following command line :

  ffmpeg -y -f ourFmt -probesize 32 -i - -f decklink -preset ultrafast 
  
     -pix_fmt uyvy422 -s 1920x1080 -r 30 -af volume=0.1 -max_delay 10000 
  
       DeckLink Mini Monitor

  Basically I get the video over the internet by UDP and stream it to ffmpeg stdin. Both audio and video streams have pts and dts and are fully in sync, if the connection is good there is no problems.

  However if there are issues with the connection i start getting errors, sometimes the video delay grows significantly, and audio stops working.
  The errors i get are :

  ffmpeg : [decklink @ 0x26cc600] There are not enough buffered video
  frames. Video may misbehave ! ffmpeg : [decklink @ 0x26cc600] There’s no
  buffered audio. Audio will misbehave ! ffmpeg : Last message

  The problem is when the connection is back to normal, the video keeps misbehaving until I restart the stream. What I want to do is for FFmpeg to skip to the content of the last second and play synchronized video from there, drop all the late data in between, is it possible ?
