using os.popen3() to extract thumbnail for a video in python
13 août 2015, par Abdellah BenhammouI am using ffmpeg to extract a frame from a video. This works fine when I use ffmpeg from the command line, however, when I try to do the same thing using the python :
os.popen3('ffmpeg -i videoPath -an -ss 00:00:02 -an -r 1 -vframes 1 -y picturePath')I have no idea on how to get the extracted image. So far, I get only text saying (ffmpeg version N-62039-gc00f368 Copyright (c) 2000....) which is what I see in the command line. Would you please guide through what I need to do to get the image extracted. Thank you.

ffmpeg : failed to convert m3u8 to mp4
4 mars 2016, par MrSmile07I want to convert a .m3u8 file into .mp4, for that I am using ffmpeg.
The only Thing that disturbs is, that one file work with the Command and the other not.Here the command :
ffmpeg -i http://91.250.77.10:8134/hls-vod/jp/523.mp4.m3u8 -acodec copy -vcodec copy -y -loglevel info -f mp4 Namezurspeicherrung.mp4
that file works, but by the other file :
ffmpeg -i http://91.250.77.10:8134/hls-vod/mk/01.mp4.m3u8 -acodec copy -vcodec copy -y -loglevel info -f mp4 Namezurspeicherrung2.mp4
doesn’t work.

FFMPEG options for video streaming
26 février 2014, par YorgZI am trying to use ffmpeg to stream video using ffserver. You will find below the ffserver1.conf file, and the log output from the ffmpeg command.
One of the errors references presets, and everytime I try to use presets I get the error "File not found, even after copying all the preset files in the current directory.
