    Vous pouvez nous aider à améliorer les locutions utilisées dans le logiciel ou à traduire celui-ci dans n’importe qu’elle nouvelle langue permettant sa diffusion à de nouvelles communautés linguistiques.

  • ffmpeg not creating audio file

    I’m trying to write raw s16le audio to an audio file using ffmpeg.
    This is the command I’m using :

    ffmpeg -y -f s16le -acodec pcm_s16le -ar 44100 -ac 1 -i - -vn -ar 44100 -ac 1 OUTPUT_FILE.wav

    After this command is handled I use stdin to put data in the encoder like this :

    fwrite(samples_, sizeof(short int*), numSamples, audioffmpeg);

    where samples_ is a short int* with a number of numSamples combined. At the moment I’m trying this per sample (so numSamples is 1).

    For some reason this isn’t creating a new file. Although, when I use a previously created file as input (so I don’t use stdin) it does create a new file.

    FFmpeg doesn’t seem to be outputting so I can’t give that

    I have a problem when using ffmpeg :

    quite often my clients will have slightly dodgy internet connections but they subscribe to a service which is designed to record a stream that they are hosting, and record it for hosting on something like a wordpress site.

    ffmpeg is called by a python script. I would like, ideally, to know if ffmpeg will throw an exception or return a value that can be accessed by the python script and used as a variable to determine if there was a problem recording the audio.

    at the moment python calls ffmpeg using :

    os.system('ffmpeg -i [stream address] -t 1:00 -acodec copy ')

    when I simulate a connection loss (turning off the NIC on the virtual machine) ffmpeg prints to the terminal

  • How to extract a video snippet from a video file that is being written in by ffmpeg in realtime

    At the moment i am recording a LIVE stream video from youtube with youtube-dl (https://github.com/rg3/youtube-dl)

    The command i use for this :

    youtube-dl --id -f 92 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYlQJbsVs48

    92 is a format code that i got after executing a command to get the formats, that gave me this list :

    This is creating a file called VYlQJbsVs48.mp4.part that gets bigger and bigger of course.

    Is there a way to extract a video snippet from that live stream or form the part file ? Or maybe there is a better way of doing this ?

    What i have noticed is that if i force quit iTerm2 while youtube-dl is running the .part file it creates wont contain any index information (something to do with an moov atom not being present in the mp4 file - which is the information about the number of frames and other things - metadata i think), so it makes me think i cannot extract from the file.

    Maybe if there would be a way that youtube-dl can write the index information at all times or maybe another way that i can record the live stream and get video snippets while its recording.

    I forgot to mention i am doing this on OSX Yosemite. I have FFMPEG installed with homebrew and youtoube-dl

    I am more than happy to try stuff on UBUNTU if there is a solution.
