Creating farms of unique websites
13 avril 2011, parMediaSPIP platforms can be installed as a farm, with a single "core" hosted on a dedicated server and used by multiple websites.

Java VLCJ canvas and drawing ontop with transparent background
23 janvier 2013, par DizzleI have spent a bit of time researching about whether it is possible to draw on top of a VLCJ movie within a Java application. I have found a few bits of conflicting advice some saying it is not possible and some referencing articles which have moved on oracle.com.
Can someone clarify if it is or is not possible to draw java2d graphics like rectangles/lines which also have transparent backgrounds so the video stream underneath can be viewed whilst the shapes are present on screen ?
If this is not possible with vlcj what would be a good alternative for a linux and windows compatible media player allowing for annotation over a playing video stream ? Please note i do not have to be limited to java but something where i can get re-use out of developed drawing routines for multiple platforms would be ideal.

FFMPEG overlay issue for 2 videos, sound missing from second input
7 septembre 2014, par Abhishek SinghI’m trying to achive an overlay with ffmpeg wich take the two flv files as input and make a output and both videos playing simultaneously. things are working fine with below ffmpeg command :
ffmpeg -i input1.flv -vf "[in] scale=359:320, pad=2*iw+6:ih [left]; movie=input2.flv, scale=359:320 [right]; [left][right] overlay=365:0 [out]" -b:v 3600k -y output.flv
But issue is with the sound of second video and that is missing from the
output.flv
, only input1 sound is available in theoutput.flv
.Console output is :

Blu Ray pre-encoding
29 mai 2014, par user1122069I am working on authoring many Blu Ray disc images. I was wondering if there was a way to pre-encode video to MPEG-2 so that this process could run unattended overnight and over many days. I have already found that by importing the movie file on a Blu Ray image causes Toast to skip the encoding step.
Does anyone familiar with FFMPEG and Blu Ray know what command to use ? Or suggest another free application. It should be the same as would be ready to import to a disc with remuxixing or multiplexing, etc. I can fine tune it to match the VBR settings on Toast and post the result here also if it works (saves the time to encode).
I have about 50 1 hour videos to encode.
