• Heroku ffmpeg buildpack

  Putting together the video upload section in my rails app and am having some issues with video play on mobile phones. Im using

  paperclip-av-transcoder, s3 and  Heroku

  On my laptop I can visit the page and see the video thumbnails and play the videos only because I have previously installed ffmpeg to my machine.

  Remotely on Heroku I’ve set the appropriate buildpacks for ffmpeg and have run push heroku master to install the buildpacks - Now when I visit the page on my mobile iPhone I don’t get a thumbnail but when I play the video it plays - on the other hand when I visit the page on my Android phone I don’t get a thumbnail and the video dose not play but I can upload mp4s on Android.

  It seems I don’t have the proper buildpack setup or some other heroku setting with ffmpeg.

  Any suggestions ? Thanks in advance !

  I'm stuck on a project that I have to return for school.
I have to make a 3D game with the minilibx in C, the problem being that I try to make the graphic part work but it doesn't work (display pixels on the screen).
And all this same with the examples that I found of school 42 on the internet in that link https://harm-smits.github.io/42docs/libs/minilibx.
All configuration has been done.

  


  Could there be a possible configuration problem ? I'm working on Kali Linux (Even using a VM on Ubuntu it didn't work).

  


  In short my question is what can be the different reasons why the graphical part of minilibx independently of events, loops and etc does not work without errors ?

  


• RTMP ubuntu server for streaming

  In our school team we are trying to achieve one thing - user is being recorded on camera, this camera is sending feed on server (our school gave us Ubuntu server, that we can access through cmd ssh), and this server is forwarding feed for some public ip (server ip), which clients can access in their application. We tried to do nginx live streaming server with rmtp module but with no success. Now we are stuck on properly configuring ffserver ( which in our case might be the best solution ) however we can't get to work streaming through ffmpeg. We can start ffserver successfully, but when we want to stream with ffmpeg there is error : Connection to tcp://<serveripadress>:8090 failed: Connection refused</serveripadress>. Does anyone know what might cause this ? Or is here some more simple solution for our cause ? Is it even possible to manipulate with server ip and ports if we have only ssh access to this server (on port 2233) ?
