Automated installation script of MediaSPIP
25 avril 2011, parTo overcome the difficulties mainly due to the installation of server side software dependencies, an "all-in-one" installation script written in bash was created to facilitate this step on a server with a compatible Linux distribution.
You must have access to your server via SSH and a root account to use it, which will install the dependencies. Contact your provider if you do not have that.
The documentation of the use of this installation script is available here.

Is there a way to extract a video frame, encode a sentence behind it, put it back, and then decode it ?
29 juillet 2021, par Jesse HixI am trying to do stenography on an MP4 video where I am pulling a frame out at a certain time, 5.52 sec, saving that frame as a jpg or jpeg using any image stenography tool, in this case stegosuite, to encode a sentence behind the image and then reinsert that image back into the video at the same time and then extract it again with the same command and using the same steno tool read the message.

Up until decoding the message everything runs without issue.
I know that it is not working because the videos are not the same in size meaning that the frankenstein video is not the same as the original and thus messing up the frame extraction.

Question :
Is there a way to extract a frame encode a sentence behind it put it back and then decode it ?

What I tried :

Used to extract the frame both times :

ffmpeg -ss 5.52 -i original.mp4 -vframes 1 frames_%d.jpg

Used to combine the image back into the video :

ffmpeg -i original.mp4 -i frames_1_embed.jpg -filter_complex "[1]setpts=5.52/TB[im];[0][im]overlay=eof_action=pass" -c:a copy out_1.mp4

Icecast live stream extract none silent parts into individual files
18 avril 2020, par NokoaI am looking to split an icecast audio live stream into individual audio files separated by silences. I was able to achieve this with FFMPEG when having the source input file saved locally first. I can't do that because I have 20 streams being monitored and the original files keeps growing and end up taking too much space on my drive.

Is it possible to do this directly with a live stream audio without saving the full original uncut stream file to drive ?

How do I generate a file M3U8 compatible with fmp4 ?
18 janvier 2019, par DopI have a streaming solution that use MPEG-Dash protocol, and I would like to expose the same files on hls for IOS devices.
I read that fmp4 is now compatible with hls, so I thought that this could be done
When I generate may mpd file with this command :
MP4Box -dash 33000 -frag 33000 -out video.mpd -profile dashavc264:onDemand original.mp4#audio original.mp4#video
what I want is to not duplicate files, and use my generated Dash files with a HLS manifest file.
