FFmpeg IF/ELSE statement
13 mai 2022, par HrvojeI am doing reencoding of lots of video files, and sometimes some of them have subtitles included, some dont. Is it possible to "ignore"

-vf "subtitles=%%f:force_style='MarginV=25,Fontsize=20'" -sn
statement in FFmpeg command IF input file does not have subtitles included ?

My command is :

for %%f in (*.mkv) do ffmpeg -hwaccel nvdec -i "%%f" -strict -2 -max_muxing_queue_size 1024 -map_metadata -1 -map_chapters -1 -vf "subtitles=%%f:force_style='MarginV=25,Fontsize=20'" -sn -c:v hevc_nvenc -rc vbr -cq 24 -qmin 24 -qmax 24 -tier high -level 4 -preset medium -profile:v main10 -pix_fmt p010le -b:v 0K -ac 6 -ar 48000 -b:a:0 640k -c:a:0 ac3 -metadata:s:a:0 title="Dolby Digital" E:\Encoded\%%f

Note that there are more than 100 files in a batch and checking them by hand is time consuming.

Maybe right aproach is to first inspect file in a batch script and if that file has subtitles, then execute first command, if it does not have subtitles, execute second command. But, I dont know how to do a script like that.

How do I use ffmpeg to concatenate 2 videos and add a period of silence + black screen between them ?
29 avril 2022, par masotimeThere are several existing examples, but I'd like a single command that uses complex_filter to achieve the objective without doing extra things like generating blank video / audio files.

Looking around, this is the best I've come up with so far :

ffmpeg -i video1.mp4 -i video2.mp4 -filter_complex "color=black:s=960x540:d=1[b0];aevalsrc=0:d=1[s0];[0:v:0][0:a:0][b0][s0][1:v:0][1:a:0]concat=n=3:v=1:a=1[outv][outa]" -map '[outv]' -map '[outa]' out.mp4

My understanding of the breakdown of such a command is

-

- specify 2 inputs
- define a complex filter
- define a black video stream of duration 1s and call it b0
- define a silent audio stream of duration 1s and call it s0
- pipe it through the concat filter with

-

- First stream : [0:v:0][0:a:0] // video1.mp4
- Second stream : [b0][s0] // stuff I defined earlier
- Third stream : [1:v:0][1:a:0] // video2.mp4

-

- define 2 output streams [outv][outa] for video and audio respectively
- combine them into out.mp4

All file inputs are correctly 960x540, all using the same audio and video codecs but ffmpeg gives me this error and starts using 100% CPU

More than 1000 frames duplicated

I think there's something wrong with the streams I'm defining in the filter - what's wrong ? Do I need to specify more parameters somewhere ?
