I used this ffmpeg command for this purpose.

ffmpeg -i input-video.mp4 -codec:v libx264 -r 23.976 -force_key_frames "expr:gte(t,n_forced*2)" -c:a copy -y output.mp4

However, this output.mp4 now has different video bitrate (3692 kb/s) compared to the original video (16302 kb/s). How do I use the ffmpeg command to re-encode the video with key frames and with the same bitrate as original video ?

How to cut video into 4M size mp4 video using ffmpeg
13 octobre 2022, par fxsshiwoI have a *.mp4 video file, which is cut to a fixed size using ffmpeg, using the following commands

I try to install libx264 and recompile, I still get this error

[install libx264]
git clone https://code.videolan.org/videolan/x264.git
cd x264
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/x264/ --includedir=/usr/local/include --libdir=/usr/local/lib --enable-shared
./configure --prefix=/usr/softinstall/x264/ --includedir=/usr/local/include --libdir=/usr/local/lib --enable-shared

[compile ffmpeg]
wget http://www.ffmpeg.org/releases/ffmpeg-5.1.tar.gz
tar -zxvf ffmpeg-5.1.tar.gz
cd ffmpeg-5.1
./configure --enable-shared --enable-swscale --enable-gpl --enable-nonfree --enable-pic --prefix=/usr/local/ffmpeg --enable-version3 --enable-postproc --enable-pthreads --enable-static --enable-libx264 --enable-libmp3lame

My questions :

-

- How to install ffmpeg with libx264
- How to cut video into fixed size with ffmpeg

Creating files with irregular names in Segment Demuxer
19 novembre 2022, par AliI have a video stream coming from tvheadend and I record it in 10 second chunks
This is my recording command :

ffmpeg -i INPUT_PATH -f ssegment -segment_time 10 -segment_atclocktime 1 -segment_clocktime_offset 0 -write_empty_segments 1 -strftime 1 -b:v 3M -b:a 128k "TNA-%Y-%m-%d-%H-%M-%S.ts"

This command works fine for me and creates the following files for me without any problem

-

- TNA-2022-11-19-20-35-20
- TNA-2022-11-19-20-35-30
- TNA-2022-11-19-20-35-40
- TNA-2022-11-19-20-35-50
- TNA-2022-11-19-20-36-00

But the input stream is H264 and this command records in MPEG-2 format
In the meantime, I lose the quality of the stream

On the other hand, if I add the -c:v libx264 -c:a aac option, irregular files are generated.
For example :

-

- TNA-2022-11-19-20-36-20
- TNA-2022-11-19-20-36-33
- TNA-2022-11-19-20-36-43
- TNA-2022-11-19-20-36-53
- TNA-2022-11-19-20-36-04
- TNA-2022-11-19-20-36-14

And my software can't find the files anymore

The
-break_non_keyframe 1
option solves the problem of naming the files, but the image of the files remains fixed for a few seconds when starting

Can anyone help me ?
