  • ffmpeg - how to use pipe with amovie parameter?

    I am looking for a solution to overlay to mp3 files in which the longer one will be played in the background and the smaller one will continue to play like a loop with that.
    My current code is working without pipe:

    ffmpeg -i 'longer.mp3'  -filter_complex "amovie='small.mp3:loop=999'[s];[0][s]amix=duration=shortest" new.mp3

    This code works like a charm but what i want to achieve is this:

    curl "any-url-to-api-to-audio-file" | ffmpeg -i 'longer.mp3'  -filter_complex "amovie='pipe\:0:loop=999'[s];[0][s]amix=duration=shortest" new.mp3

    This code is not working and its giving me error as well,

    All i want to do is to overlay two audio files via command line in which 1st audio file will be longer and the second one will be smaller.
    The smaller one will be repeated like a loop till the longer one play.

    Please tell me how can i do that?

  • UWP run ffmpeg process to capture

    I’m developing a UWP app with C# and I need to start FFmpeg in a process.

    I use this ffmpeg command which works good in CMD:

    D:\ffmpeg.exe -f dshow -crossbar_video_input_pin_number 1 -i
    video="AVerMedia BDA Analog Capture" -vcodec rawvideo -pix_fmt yuv420p
    -s 864x768 -r 10 "D:\capture\output.yuv" -loglevel 16

    But when I start the process with the same command and arguments in my UWP app I get this error from ffmpeg:

  • ffmpeg : Conversion to mkv with compatibility with Samsung BluRay

    I have several videos (FullHD resolution) which I want to convert to mkv format and play on my Samsung BluRay Player (model BD-J5900).
Based on User Manual (http://media.datatail.com/docs/manual/252846_en.pdf , page 6) it supports mkv playing if codecs are:

    



      

    • Video : H.264 BP/MP/HP
    • 


    • Audio : MP3
    • 


    



    Thus, based on https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg.html the command to convert it into proper format is:

    



    ffmpeg -i input.avi -f matroska -vcodec libx264 -acodec mp3 output.mkv


    



    It converts, but file is not playable on player. It say "Video format is not supported".

    



    After checking info here: https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/Encode/H.264 - I thought it may require some compatibility and change the command to :

    



    ffmpeg -i input.avi -f matroska -vcodec libx264 -profile:v baseline -level 3.0 -acodec mp3 output.mkv


    



    But it also didn't help - player demonstrates the same error.

    



    How to fix that?
