    The zip file provided here only contains the sources of MediaSPIP in its standalone version.

  • Multilang : améliorer l’interface pour les blocs multilingues

    Multilang est un plugin supplémentaire qui n’est pas activé par défaut lors de l’initialisation de MediaSPIP.
    Après son activation, une préconfiguration est mise en place automatiquement par MediaSPIP init permettant à la nouvelle fonctionnalité d’être automatiquement opérationnelle. Il n’est donc pas obligatoire de passer par une étape de configuration pour cela.

    Fix some broken clamping in rate control.

    If we have some dupe frames right near the end of the buffer, our
    
 metric window can be slightly larger than the buffer.
    
However, the clamping we use to determine how many frames' worth of
    
 metrics to add to the buffer had a mix of signed and unsigned
    
 types, so if that number when negative, instead of clamping
    
 against zero, it would ask for all remaining frames in the file.
    
That would cause an infinite loop when we tried to find the last
    
 keyframe in the circular buffer in oc_enc_select_qi() (which was
    
 not big enough to actually hold that many frames).
    

    This patch changes the clamp to a form that works with all unsigned
    
 values.

    To do more accurate QP control, add min/max QP control on I/P/B frame
    
separately to qsv encoder. qmax and qmin still work but newly-added
    
options have higher priority.

  • What video codecs work on Google Chromebook

    I’m trying to put a show on my friends Google Chromebook but the mp4 files show up black when trying to watch them on said Chromebook, audio works fine. I found out that it is a video encoding problem but I cannot find a list of video formats that work on the Chromebook. I have ffmpeg and handbrake to try and test some things, but if someone could tell me a ffmpeg code that will convert the video files into a format that works on a Google Chromebook that would help a lot.

    What I’ve tried :

    ffmpeg -i "Game of Thrones S02E01 The North Remembers.mkv" codec mpeg "Game of Thrones S02E01 The North Remembers.mp4"

    Which gives error :

    [NULL @ 00000177196ea500] Unable to find a suitable output format for
    ’codec’ codec : Invalid argument
