  • MediaSPIP 0.1 Beta version

    25 avril 2011, par

MediaSPIP 0.1 beta is the first version of MediaSPIP proclaimed as "usable".
The zip file provided here only contains the sources of MediaSPIP in its standalone version.
To get a working installation, you must manually install all-software dependencies on the server.
If you want to use this archive for an installation in "farm mode", you will also need to proceed to other manual (...)

    13 avril 2011, par

MediaSPIP platforms can be installed as a farm, with a single "core" hosted on a dedicated server and used by multiple websites.
This allows (among other things) : implementation costs to be shared between several different projects / individuals rapid deployment of multiple unique sites creation of groups of like-minded sites, making it possible to browse media in a more controlled and selective environment than the major "open" (...)

  • Commercial version of FFmpeg

    10 octobre 2017, par Programist

Is there a commercial version of FFmpeg ? My company lawyers don’t like LGPL licensing on FFmpeg due to its gray area of licensing.

Or is there BSD version of FFmpeg available or a close alternative to it ?

I am required to use something that is commercial or BSD licensed.

If answer to all my questions above is no. Then what is a close alternative to FFmpeg under BSD ? I need basically a video encoder & decoder.

  • motion blue and black image on built in server

22 septembre 2017, par Elias Bencz

I’m experimenting motion on my desktop,

My webcam : Logitech, Inc. Webcam C270

Output Images and video are ok but the image on built in server aren’t.
They are like blue and black - almost monochromatic but sometimes it get gray also.

I’ve tried open with vlc and it’s ok - I think it’s related with the video compression before transmit it to the server.

  • Cutting with ffmpeg a video (recorded with Kodi) gives no image

    1er octobre 2017, par Laure

I am trying to cut videos I get from a IPTV add-on in Kodi. The original video can be watched with VLC, Mplayer, xine, etc, but after being copied there is no image. According to mediainfo there is a video stream but nothing can be seen. The command I use is :

    ffmpeg -y -i test-1.mpeg  -scodec copy -vcodec copy -c:a copy -map 0 -ss 00:00:10.000 -t 00:00:10.000 test-1-cut.mpeg

I suppose there is something wrong with the original videos recorded by Kodi, but they give no problem with any player. A short example video is this one :

    https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0WC80aT-4WrSDNENzhxRUxkOXc

The output with the -report option is this one :

ffmpeg started on 2017-09-10 at 02:27:38
    Report written to "ffmpeg-20170910-022738.log"
