    Le problème du podcasting est à nouveau un problème révélateur de la normalisation des transports de données sur Internet.
    Deux formats intéressants existent : Celui développé par Apple, très axé sur l’utilisation d’iTunes dont la SPEC est ici ; Le format "Media RSS Module" qui est plus "libre" notamment soutenu par Yahoo et le logiciel Miro ;

    MediaSPIP 0.2 est la première version de MediaSPIP stable.
    Sa date de sortie officielle est le 21 juin 2013 et est annoncée ici.
    Le fichier zip ici présent contient uniquement les sources de MediaSPIP en version standalone.
    Comme pour la version précédente, il est nécessaire d’installer manuellement l’ensemble des dépendances logicielles sur le serveur.
    Si vous souhaitez utiliser cette archive pour une installation en mode ferme, il vous faudra également procéder à d’autres modifications (...)

  • FFmpeg returning an error - What does it mean ?

    I am using FFmpeg, libmp3lame & libx264 along with the node fluent-ffmpeg module. This is my first foray into processing uploaded videos.

    From node, I use the following code to process an uploaded video :

    var proc = new ffmpeg({ source: src, nolog: true })

    When I try to process a video, this fails with the following error, which I don't understand. I am hoping someone here can help point me in the right direction. Thanks !

  • ffmpeg cannot generate thumbnail [migrated]

    I use ffmpeg to generate 10 .jpeg thumbs out of a video file. Most of the time it works fine but for some files (a 55seconds .mp4 for example) I get only the first 4 out of 10 captures, for the rest I get this error :
    Output file is empty, nothing was encoded (check -ss / -t / -frames parameters if used)

    The command I use to convert is this one
    ffmpeg -ss 16 -i /path/source.mp4 -y -f image2 -t 0.001 -s 320*240 /path/thumb4.jpg
    where -ss value is a multiple of 4 and from 20 it stops working.
