  • Output file not specified [closed]

    16 mai 2024, par Rich Madrid

    I have been messing around with ffmpeg working on basic mkv to mp4 conversions the last couple of days on my Mac and Windows computers. Mac was easier buy my windows desktop has a much faster OS so I wanted to do some conversions on it tonight. Got ffmpeg installed and working.

    After having some issues with the command prompt not finding the directory, I solved that with the following basic code to convert an mkv file to an mp4 for me :

    ffmpeg -i "C:\Users\Computer\videos\decade.mkv" "C:\Users\Computer\Videos\RJ videos\Complete\decade.mp4"

    I moved on to wanting to scale up an mkv to 1080p and use a yadif filter. I couldn’t find an adequate way to do this so I used a portion of the command that worked on my Mac last night, and stuffed it into the command for windows and I got an error code “at least one output file must be specified” after using the following command :

    ffmpeg -i "C:\Users\Computer\videos\decade.mkv" -vf "yadif=1,scale=1440x1080:flags=lanczos,setsar=1" -c:v libx264 -crf 21
-c:a aac -b:a 128k -ar 48k "C:\Users\Computer\Videos\RJ videos\Complete\decade.mp4"

    What am I doing wrong ?

  • FFMPEG - Insert text MP4 and closed

    29 septembre 2015, par Celso Lopes

    I am using FFmpeg to insert text in a video. However I did not want it ENCODED The Full Video . Just as I want the text to be inserted at 20 seconds, then I want to stop coding. Since I’ll encode several videos a day.
    I just need to add the text and do NOT need to to read entire video.

    Next I use the command , only that it encodes the Full Video .

    ffmpeg -i original.mp4 -strict experimental -vf "drawtext=fontfile='/usr/share/fonts/truetype/dejavu/DejaVuSans-Bold.ttf':text='Liberado para Celso':x=500:y=10:fontsize=9" saida3.mp4

    I believe I don’t need to generate a MP4 as output, just that it inserts the text and be fast !

  • FFMPEG RTMP not working in my red5pro module on Ubuntu 14.0.4

    24 janvier 2018, par Atul

    This following command not working in my java module (this takes snap from live stream and save it)
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("ffmpeg -i \"rtmp ://127.0.0.1:1935/live/mytest live=1 timeout=2\" -f image2 -vframes 1 /snaps/testo.jpg") ;

    If I use same command on Ubuntu 14.0.4 console it works. Same command working in my red5pro module on Window but not on Ubuntu.

    When I use
    String[] execStr = "/usr/local/bin/ffmpeg","-i","rtmp ://127.0.0.1:1935/live/mytest","live=1","timeout=2","-f","image2","-vframes","1","/snaps/tt.jpg" ;
    ProcessBuilder pb = new ProcessBuilder("ffmpeg -i rtmp ://localhost/live/mytest live=1 timeout=2 -f image2 -vframes 1 /snaps/testo.jpg") ;

    It always throw stream not found ( in red5pro console)
