    I am using OpenCV and FFMPEG to capture frames from a network camera using RTSP. The point is that OpenCV successfully loads the FFMPEG .dll but icvCreateFileCapture_FFMPEG_p returns false in the following code of cap_ffmpeg.cpp :

  • Can FFMPEG library send the live H264 iOS Camera stream to Wowza using RTSP

    My requirement is to get iphone camera feed, encode it into H264 format and send it to server.
    In search, I found encoding part is possible with ffmpeg lib with x264 (libx264). But now the next task is to send the encoded data to Wowza server using rtsp.

    Please share some code or useful document if anyone is aware about this.

    There is one another library for encoding purpose live555. But I am not sure it can send the data to server using rtsp.

    I am currently streaming to Youtube live with the following command :

    


    ffmpeg -re -f s16le -i /dev/zero -f v4l2 -thread_queue_size 512 -codec:v mjpeg -s 1920x1080 -i /dev/video0 -c:v libx264 -preset ultrafast -acodec aac -b:v 3500k -g 30 -f flv rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2/key

    


    The frame rate is great, and the speed is 1x. However, the quality is very poor, improved only slightly after increasing the bitrate to 3000k. Changing the resolution doesn't help, and using veryfast makes things worse. How can I fix the quality ?

    


    Note : there is no audio and this is a USB camera.
