• How to create a FFMPEG VIDSTAB batch script Windows

  i’m a photographer and I download photographs (.jpg) and videos (.mov) into a single Windows folder

  I’m looking to create a script that will run the below 3 lines of FFMPEG for every instance of .mov in the folder and let it create stabilized .mp4 copies of the video. I’ll delete the originals manually later.

  ffmpeg -i DSCF0229.MOV -vf vidstabdetect=shakiness=5:accuracy=15:stepsize=6:mincontrast=0.3:show=2 -y dummy.mp4
  
  
  
  ffmpeg -i DSCF0229.MOV -vf scale=trunc((iw*1.15)/2)*2:trunc(ow/a/2)*2 -y scaled.mp4

  i can tweak a bit of code, but i’m clueless on where to start. i tried "for do" and even a batch.bat file, but i just can’t get the proper syntax right.

• Rotate affinity values in a batch script for loop

  In windows 8.1, I’m converting my videos to HEVC using FFmpeg, using this simple batch script :

  md hevc
  
  
  
  start /affinity 0x7 for %%k in (*.mkv *.mp4) do ffmpeg -i "%%k" -map 0 -c copy -c:v libx265 -y "hevc\%%~nk.mkv"

  I’m using the Start /affinity to limit FFmpeg to 3/4 threads, otherwise my computer gets chocked. It works fine, except it uses the same affinity value for an entire folder, and I’d rather rotate the affinity values between 0x7, 0xb, 0xd and x0e, so that it changes the active cores each time another video starts. I’ve tried putting the start /affinity in different positions in the command line, and I’ve tried running a loop within a loop, but nothing I’ve tried has worked. Any ideas ?

• Bash script to recursive find and convert movies

  in my large movie collection I would like to search for movies with the primary (first) audio track with DTS coding to be converted to Dolby.

  


  My problem would be the first track I think. My current bash script will list any movie containing a DTS track, but does not specify which track.

  or is there a way to move all the audio tracks down and adding the new AAC track ?
