• Can I use a text file's content to create a filtered list for ffmpeg ?

  I am attempting to make a CMD script that will

  


  

  1. Create a text file that lists file names followed by video codec (using ffprobe)

  


  2. Create a new text from the list so that any file with x265 codec is removed from the list (and formated as
file "*filepath*"

  


  3. Run ffmpeg on the edited list to transcode remaining files to x265.

  


  


  I have a script that does #1

  I am not sure if #2 is even possible though.

  


  End result of task 2 should be that in probe.txt, any line that has a
streams.stream.0.codec_name value of anything besides hevc will have the line immediately above it written to a new txt file with the word file in front.

  


  final goal is getting all three tasks to run under one batch file (each task running sequentially)

  


  Is there any help on what I am missing to be able to unify these and get #2 to happen

  


• Concatenate / Join MP4 files using ffmpeg and windows command line batch NOT LINUX

  I've written a batch script that attempts to take a generic introductory title video (MP4) that runs for 12 seconds and attaches it to the beginning of 4 other MP4 videos (same video but each has a different language audio track)

  



  According to ffmpeg syntax here : http://ffmpeg.org/trac/ffmpeg/wiki/How%20to%20concatenate%20%28join,%20merge%29%20media%20files the concat demuxer needs to be run from a text file that looks like this :

file '/path/to/file3'


  



  I believe everything in my script up until the point of joining the files appears to be working correctly. But I get this error :

  I believe the issue lies in the text file I'm creating. Please excuse my n00b ignorance, but sometimes new script makers like myself get confused about developer jargon and may take things literally.

  



  So when I look at that example text file they gave, am I correct in thinking THIS is what my text file should look like ?

  Again, am I being too literal ? are the quotations correct ? Are the slashes correct ? In the example they provide the slashes in the path are / instead of normal windows \ . I'll provide the entire script in case it helps.

Thanks to @foxidrive making me look at the simplicity of it... it occurred to me that Apparently I wasn't being literal enough. I made these 3 changes and script works perfectly now
1 : "file" in there example literally meant the word "file" 
2 : needed the use of single quotes not double quotes as it shows in there example. 
3 : Used "\" instead of "/" as they have in there example.

  



  So NOW my code to create the text files looks like this :

• How to supply mufti filter_complex values using ffmpeg

  for single image being merged to video i use the following command to supply values for -filter_complex

  


  String comand = '-y -i $videoPath -i $imagePath -filter_complex "[1:v]scale=300:300[ovrl];[0:v][ovrl]overlay=100:100" $outPutPath';


  


  but what if i want merge more than one image (input) ?

  


  How do we make a certain distinction for each input except $videoPath ?

  


  String comand = '-y -i $videoPath -i $imagePath1 i $imagePath2 i $imagePath3  $outPutPath4';


  


  How could i supply difference scale overlay rotate values for each input which is for $imagePath1 $imagePath2 $imagePath3 $imagePath4

  


  in other word : evry input has it's own filter values ?

  


  to be honest i have no idea what does [1:v] means but After several attempts, I was able to get successful command (my first command in my qwestion) to give values for one entry, and this was successful , but couldn't do it for many inputs
