  • Automated installation script of MediaSPIP

    To overcome the difficulties mainly due to the installation of server side software dependencies, an "all-in-one" installation script written in bash was created to facilitate this step on a server with a compatible Linux distribution.
    You must have access to your server via SSH and a root account to use it, which will install the dependencies. Contact your provider if you do not have that.

  • 'pjsip-apps/Samples' Cannot functionally run vid_streamutil.c sample

    Issue Description
After building[Build Varient=Debug, Build Config=x64] the latest pjproject-vs14 (retargeted to MSVS 2017, WINSDK=8.1, because my application works at these config) as per the build instruction on trac website. Successfully built pjsua and samples.

    


    I want to use only RTP + FFMPEG APIs (pjmedia) for my application from pjproject.

    But running the example, vid_streamutil.c did not work as expected (? Whats the normal expected behaviour ?).

Steps to reproduce the behavior :

    


      

    1. run vid_streamutil.exe with parameter : --codec=H264 --remote=127.0.0.1:5000 --play-file=test.avi --send-only
(test.avi file being a sample file)

    Expected behavior
Get some RTP packets in wireshark while listening to ports 4000 and 5000 maybe ? I dont know whats the expected behaviour, documentation dosent say anything about this :(

    Additional context
I didnt change the default program that must except adding some printf's when program goes to exit label, without this it will be very difficult to know which part of the program jumped to exit : label. Anyways, here is the full code,

    aacenc_pred : rework the way prediction is done

    This commit completely alters the algorithm of prediction.
    
The original commit which introduced prediction was completely
    
incorrect to even remotely care about what the actual coefficients
    
contain or whether any options were enabled. Not my actual fault.
    

    This commit treats prediction the way the decoder does and expects
    
to do : like lossy encryption. Everything related to prediction now
    
happens at the very end but just before quantization and encoding
    
of coefficients. On the decoder side, prediction happens before
    
anything has had a chance to even access the coefficients.
    

    Also the original implementation had problems because it actually
    
touched the band_type of special bands which already had their
    
scalefactor indices marked and it’s a wonder the asserion wasn’t
    
triggered when transmitting those.
    

    Overall, this now drastically increases audio quality and you should
    
think about enabling it if you don’t plan on playing anything encoded
    
on really old low power ultra-embedded devices since they might not
    
support decoding of prediction or AAC-Main. Though the specifications
    
were written ages ago and as times change so do the FLOPS.

  • OpenCV accept HTTP video streaming with different endpoints

    I am writing a server, which receives live video stream over HTTP and performs some operations for different endpoints.

    I am using OpenCV for that and my basic code looks somethings like this

    As you see each function listens to a different HTTP endpoint and does different operation. Each function runs in a separate thread.

    The problem is that for some reason OpenCV ignores the resource part in endpoint i.e. if ip:port is correct it will accept the stream no matter it is from operation1 or operation2.

    For testing purposes I use this command as a stream generator
    ffmpeg -i sample.mp4 -listen 1 -f matroska -c:v libx264 -preset fast -tune zerolatency  http://localhost:8080/operation1

    How can I make OpenCV to differentiate between HTTP endpoints ? What am I missing ? I have no any previous experience with OpenCV and photo/video stuff.
