    MediaSPIP automatically converts uploaded files to internet-compatible formats.
    Video files are encoded in MP4, Ogv and WebM (supported by HTML5) and MP4 (supported by Flash).
    Audio files are encoded in MP3 and Ogg (supported by HTML5) and MP3 (supported by Flash).
    Where possible, text is analyzed in order to retrieve the data needed for search engine detection, and then exported as a series of image files.

    Dans beaucoup d’endroits du site, logos et images sont redimensionnées pour correspondre aux emplacements définis par les thèmes. L’ensemble des ces tailles pouvant changer d’un thème à un autre peuvent être définies directement dans le thème et éviter ainsi à l’utilisateur de devoir les configurer manuellement après avoir changé l’apparence de son site.

  • Configuration spécifique d’Apache

    Modules spécifiques
    Pour la configuration d’Apache, il est conseillé d’activer certains modules non spécifiques à MediaSPIP, mais permettant d’améliorer les performances : mod_deflate et mod_headers pour compresser automatiquement via Apache les pages. Cf ce tutoriel ; mode_expires pour gérer correctement l’expiration des hits. Cf ce tutoriel ;
    Il est également conseillé d’ajouter la prise en charge par apache du mime-type pour les fichiers WebM comme indiqué dans ce tutoriel.

  • ffmpeg returns "method SETUP failed : 404 Not Found"

    We’re using ffmpeg (build ffmpeg-20190628-098ab93-win32-static) to take a snapshot from camera RTSP streams on a Win 10 system. On some cameras, we’re getting this error :

    [rtsp @ 06813ac0] method SETUP failed: 404 Not Found
    
rtsp://username:password@example.com: Server returned 404 Not Found

    Here’s an example command we use :

    ffmpeg -y -i rtsp://username:password@example.com -vframes 1 -pix_fmt yuvj420p 
    
  -vf select='eq(pict_type\,I)' -q:v 1 _test.jpg

    However, VLC can load the same stream (we can’t use VLC, though) from the same machine. Additionally, we’ve opened the firewall to ffmpeg (it popped up the two firewall dialogs and we allowed it through).

    We’ve found posts on the DESCRIBE error but nothing on SETUP. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

    Update : In VLC, that RTSP stream asks for credentials twice for some reason. Wondering if that’s the cause.

  • VideoCapture() returns None in opencv & install opencv with ffmpeg

    System : UBUNTU 16.04
    Python version : 3.5

    I would like to use cv2.VideoCapture() function to process my mp4 file. However, when I run the script below, I always get a result of None, so I am not able to continue my work after.

    import cv2
    
video_cap = cv2.VideoCapture('demo.mp4')
    
ret,frame = video_cap.read()
    
print(ret,frame)
    

    
result: False,None

    By searching a lot I realized the problem : opencv is not properly installed with ffmpeg, so that the video function in opencv does not work.

    However I didn’t find a efficient tutorial on how to properly install opencv. I wonder if anyone could help. Thank you !
