    MediaSPIP uses HTML5 video and audio tags to play multimedia files, taking advantage of the latest W3C innovations supported by modern browsers.
    The MediaSPIP player used has been created specifically for MediaSPIP and can be easily adapted to fit in with a specific theme.

    MediaSPIP utilise les balises HTML5 video et audio pour la lecture de documents multimedia en profitant des dernières innovations du W3C supportées par les navigateurs modernes.
    Pour les navigateurs plus anciens, le lecteur flash Flowplayer est utilisé.
    Le lecteur HTML5 utilisé a été spécifiquement créé pour MediaSPIP : il est complètement modifiable graphiquement pour correspondre à un thème choisi.

    I have been surfing the net for some time to get basic understanding of media framework in android. As part of this, to display video we have media player class or video view component which can easily display the video. When we have such solution provided by the framework itself, then why there are few components avaiable like SDL [ Simple Direct Media Layer], which claims the same functionality as video view ?

    How both are different ?

  • Universal Media Server in Ubuntu 14.10

    I just got universal media server to run in Ubuntu 14.10, they took mencoder and ffmpeg out of the repos so I had to go find them and now it runs but when I try to play a movie on my ps3, it takes a min to load and then on my ps3 side, it says that the media can’t be played and it says it with most of everything I try to play...it worked with 14.04 but not this one.. I’m actually considering downgrading to 14.04 because of this issue.. can anybody help ?? thanks !
