• Destreamer (FFMPEG / Youtube-DL) - Can't download video, Invalid DTS, Invalid timestamps message

  I'm using Destreamer a program that essentially lets you download microsoft stream videos by passing a key URL with a cookie down to Youtube-dl which then calls into ffmpeg.

  



  Whenever I try to download a video using this program I get tons of repeating lines of text (errors ?) like this :

  This continues to fill the screen and scroll with the same type of lines of text and then after a couple of hours it does eventually download the video but without sound.

  



  I am trying to work out why this is happening and why the video downloads without sound.

  



  Some key information :

  



  

  • I am using windows + powershell but also experience the same thing on
Linux (Kubuntu)

  


  • I am using the latest versions of FFMPEG, youtube-dl node.js

  


  • The program (destreamer) brings up a chromium window to authenticate.
In the Chromium window the video doesn't actually play properly and
gives Error code 0x20400003 The video plays fine in all other
browsers I have including Edge, Chrome, and Firefox

• Libav : unable to read frames with mp4 files from d.tube

  I am trying to read frames with mp4 files from d.tube. There is a problem specifically with videos from this website whether from stream or file. When I am trying to use avformat_find_stream_info(), I got the following message :

  I tried comparing with mp4 files from Youtube, but there is no problem at all. After I couldn’t find the solution, I skipped this message and continued, but there is Invalid data found when processing input
  error from av_read_frame(). Probably, it is from the same cause.

  In contrast, there is no problem using ffmpeg commands to get video information and extract frames. I also tried with different version of ffmpeg, but the same result. The example code I am trying to modify can be found on Youtube-test. In addition, I already added the config of ffmpeg with--enable-decoder=h264 --enable-demuxer=h264 --enable-demuxer=mp4 --enable-demuxer=h264 --enable-parser=h264 --enable-gpl --enable-libx264 --enable-encoder=libx264.

• Video tube site on wordpress dedicated server mp4 only streams on android firefox

  I have a video tube site that is quite popular and I am having an issue with my mp4 files streaming on android devices. When using Mozilla Firefox on android my videos play and seek perfectly. When using google chrome or default Android browser they do not play at all. I ran one of my videos through mp4box with a few settings and I got it to play on those browser in Android but they break when trying to seek. So at this stage the videos still play fine on Firefox in Android but now even though the video will start playing rather quickly on the other two browsers the videos will not seek properly as seeking will cause the video to break and restart itself. I am in a wordpress installation on a dedicated server.

  The files are MP4 with the meta data at the front of the file and playing in the standard wordpress video player(or any html5 based player as I have tried quite a few and all have the same result)

  I had to ask my server admin to install ffmpeg for my streaming is it possible they did not add the right commands ?

  I have no idea what my videos are doing on Apple devices but I assume it is okay since Google Analytics shows a low bounce rate from that devices.

  If any issue is on service side I want to contact them armed with facts. I appreciate your help in this matter.

  The few things I tried with the mp4 that got them to play but still not seek properly were running them through mp4box with no special settings and simply remuxing them. I also tried a couple special settings like adding a hint track and other things none resulted in the file streaming properly in chrome or default android browser. AGAIN my files stream fine on all desktops and in FIREFOX on android but DO NOT work in chrome on android or default android browser.
