  • Ffmpeg send rtp without reencode, cpu usage still very high. How ?

2 septembre 2019, par Wayne Chen

I’m using ffmpeg to send rtp to ffserver. Command looks like this :

    ffmpeg -re -stream_loop -1 -i test.mp4 -c copy http://localhost:8090/feed1.ffm

I thought with -c copy option, the cpu usage of ffmpeg should be very low, but it actually used 99% of cpu. Please help cutdown the usage of cpu.
    Thanks

  • C code to send stream of jpeg-encoded images over HTTP/RTSP using ffmpeg

    30 novembre 2015, par alasin

I am getting video feeds from multiple cameras, processing them frame-by-frame and encoding each frame to jpeg using ffmpeg. Now I need to send these jpegs as a stream to another remote computer using RTSP/HTTP in real-time. Could this be done using ffmpeg ?

I found a similar question but I can’t figure out how that works.

  • FFMpeg command to send audio file

    7 mars 2018, par Pierre P.

I have set up a HLS server and asked it to listen to localhost on port 5555 with this command mediastreamsegmenter -f /Library/WebSever/Documents/live 127.0.0.1

I have found a command to create an input stream from a video file and send it to the mediastreamsegmenter, as follow :

    ffmpeg
    -re -i video.m4v
    -vcodec copy
    -vbsf h264_mp4toannexb
    -acodec copy
    -f mpgets udp://127.0.0.1:5555

Which command (with appropriate flags) should I use to create an input stream from a .aac file and send it to the mediastreamsegmenter ?
