• Strange error with ffmpeg and unoconv in python script

  I am creating a python script that can be used by other people to convert files. However when I use this script I keep getting a weird error when I run the subprocess for unoconv, this error is :

  I have looked through various resources for this, but the one answer I have been receiving is that I must have set up the unoconv line incorrectly. I have checked several times that the code is correct, and it is. The other peculiar thing is that my code for ffmpeg works. Does anybody have an idea as to why this happens.

• creating mp4 url from m3u8 url from ffmpeg

  I have a m3u8 url :

  http://esioslive6-i.akamaihd.net/hls/live/202874/AL_P_ESP1_INTER_ENG/playlist_1000.m3u8

  and i am trying to convert this link to mp4 in url form.

  what i am trying :

  ffmpeg -i  http://esioslive6-i.akamaihd.net/hls/live/202874/AL_P_ESP1_INTER_ENG/playlist_1000.m3u8 -c copy -bsf:a aac_adtstoasc http://esioslive6-i.akamaihd.net/hls/live/202874/AL_P_ESP1_INTER_ENG/output.mp4

  I am new and I also saw this post FFMPEG mp4 from http live streaming m3u8 file ? but i dont understand why something is not happening.

• How would I use ffmpeg to download this stream ?

  I want to download this http://webcast.mit.edu/spr2014/csail/12apr14/ video

  I’ve downloaded the smil file, installed ffmpeg, however I don’t know which url to use. Moreover, it may need flash authentication which I don’t know how to do either.
