  • Automated installation script of MediaSPIP

    25 avril 2011, par

To overcome the difficulties mainly due to the installation of server side software dependencies, an "all-in-one" installation script written in bash was created to facilitate this step on a server with a compatible Linux distribution.
You must have access to your server via SSH and a root account to use it, which will install the dependencies. Contact your provider if you do not have that.
The documentation of the use of this installation script is available here.

  • cannot capture a good frame of faces from IP camera [on hold]

    16 octobre 2018, par wiwengweng

everyone. I am working on some research about getting frames from IP camera, and then detect and recognize faces. There is some implements on the last two steps. And my first problem is to judge if a frame with faces is good enough for detection. Video stream is read by OpenCV and/or ffmpeg, and there are many ways to capture frames one by one.

As we know, people are always walking through, so frames captured from IP camera is not always good. But the good news is the if we extract the frames from the IP camera video file, we find some frames good enough for detection.

I also try de-blurring pictures of frames using GAN, but that will need more time, so I think that is not an ideal way. So any advice is welcome.

  • stretch audio so it fits in video

22 mars 2017, par Pedro Coimbra

I’m trying hard for more than a day to fit an audio into a video, which is almost an hour long and the audio is just 2-3 minutes shorter than that. The video has it’0s own audio but I don’t want it since the external audio I got has more quality and more channels.

The video has a 25 fps framerate while the external audio has 23.976.
I’ve tried ffmpeg but to no avail. Also the audio stretching has to be precise so the sound match people’s lips. Is there a way to tell ffmpeg "see this video duration ? stretch the audio to that exact duration to the second (or milisecond) and embed it" ?

I’ve tried MP4box, Avidemux, Handbrake and now FFmpeg (pretty complicated), and my head is exploding :P Anyone that can help me on this ? I can’t believe it can’t be done

    Thanks in advance

  • Icecast to Youtube Live w/ Track Meta data

    22 novembre 2018, par eusid

I am using ffmpeg to stream a still image along with my Icecast stream to youtube. I would like to give the artists credit by displaying their names on the image or perhaps even using a visualizer type thing.

I am curious how people have solved this issue to get the meta data on the image, or even use a visualizer in the past. I want to do this headlessly from my server so I don’t have to run OBS or something on my desktop. I would hope to not have to reinvent the wheel, but if you could point me in the right direction I’ll build the wheel if asking for a completed wheel gets me down votes.

How is this typically solved ? Mainly getting the text on the image and the stream updating with the new image. I could write something with pillow to do this perhaps. Not sure if it would work.
