  • create video from images and then stream to users

9 janvier 2014, par Abdul Ali

idea is to create a video from images provided by a user and at the same time stream the generated video to other user demanding it.

kindly tell any efficient way to do this and which language out of PHP and C# .net will be suitable.

have looked into ffmpeg to take images and convert to video and save to server and then stream .. kindly tell if this the possibility or any other method for live streaming.

    regards

    UPATE

consider the following scenario as I understand :

get images from server and start combining them to form a video. at the same time, stream the video to the users requesting it.. for new coming clients, stream the previously generated video from the begining and keep on sending the new video which is being generated from images to the previous clients.

kindly tell if this is possible, if so then what can be the approach. Have read something about pipes but am completely new to ffmpeg and streaming in general.

  • Is there any option to create a single frame thumbnail for a video in java ?

13 juin 2020, par Prashanth Shyamprasad

Is there any option to create a single frame thumbnail for a video in java with java libraries.

I am using Jave2 in my application. Does Jave2 provides any such options ? I didn't find a single documentation related to this.

I heard Xuggler provides some options. But I don't want to move to Xuggler if Jave2 provides the facility as I'm already using Jave2 for many purposes extensively. Adding a full library like Xuggler is an overhead. Replacing Jave2 with Xuggler also is a tedious task

If any light weight thumbnail feature specific utility library is available, then that should also be fine.

  • avformat/utils : Don't create unnecessary references

28 septembre 2019, par Andreas Rheinhardt
    avformat/utils : Don't create unnecessary references

When AVFMT_FLAG_GENPTS is set, av_read_frame would put a reference to a
packet in the packet list (via av_packet_ref) and then immediately
thereafter unreference the original packet. This has been changed to
    move the reference instead.
