  • ffmpeg webcam capture a/v out of sync

    I’m running this command to capture video and audio from my webcam :

    ffmpeg -y -f video4linux2 -s 320x240 -i /dev/video0 -f alsa -i "plughw:CARD=U0x46d0x825,DEV=0" -ac 2 -strict experimental Filename.mp4

    It works, but the audio is about half a second behind the video (EG if I clap, when I watch the video I’ll hear the clap and then see me do it).

    This is for an online stream, so I can’t fix it up later, it needs to be recorded correctly.

    It always seems to be off by the same amount, so I’m trying to find an option to simply delay when audio starts recording, but I can’t figure it out.

    Any ideas ?

  • Ffmpeg blur part of video interacively

    I want to blur part of live stream conditionally in realtime with ffmpeg.
    
I read about zeromq filter, but the output of ffmpeg -filters says that boxblur filter doesn't support commands. For example, I want to blur the bottom half of the video then after some time disable blur then blur all video.
    
How can I achieve this ?

    I am using ffmpeg to convert a series of bitmaps into an AVI file, using this syntax

    


    ffmpeg.exe -framerate 60 -start_number 1 -i BMP%05d.BMP -dst_range 1 -color_range 2 -c:v libxvid -vtag xvid -q:v 1 -y -vf format=yuv420p output.AVI


    


    which works fine.

    


    But now I want to "ping pong" the output. ie create an AVI twice as long, but the second half is the same frames in reverse. So the movie plays forward, then in reverse.

    


    I don't see any options/switches for this in the documentation. Is it possible ?
