    Le problème du podcasting est à nouveau un problème révélateur de la normalisation des transports de données sur Internet.
    Deux formats intéressants existent : Celui développé par Apple, très axé sur l’utilisation d’iTunes dont la SPEC est ici ; Le format "Media RSS Module" qui est plus "libre" notamment soutenu par Yahoo et le logiciel Miro ;

    On ne revendique pas d’être les seuls à faire ce que l’on fait ... et on ne revendique surtout pas d’être les meilleurs non plus ... Ce que l’on fait, on essaie juste de le faire bien, et de mieux en mieux...
    La liste suivante correspond à des logiciels qui tendent peu ou prou à faire comme MediaSPIP ou que MediaSPIP tente peu ou prou à faire pareil, peu importe ...
    On ne les connais pas, on ne les a pas essayé, mais vous pouvez peut être y jeter un coup d’oeil.

  • FFMPEG - Crop image so that height and width of image are equal

    Using ffmpeg, I want to be able to crop an image so that the dimensions become equal. For example if I have an input image that is 1600x1000, after cropping it should be 1000x1000 (because 1000 is the smallest amongst the two dimensions). When cropping the image, it should crop equally from both sides.

    


    Some examples :
Input image : 1600x1000 -> crop 300px from the left and 300px from the right side. Final image 1000x1000.

    


    Input image : 1100x1500 -> crop 200px from the top and 300px from the bottom. Final image 1100x1100.

    


    I can use this the command below to crop left and right or bottom and top or both. But the problem is that I want to crop only the largest dimension. Is there any way to know the largest dimension ?

    


    crop=in_w-in_h/2:in_h-in_w/2


    


  • How can we achieve textAlign="center" within box in case of multiline text using ffmpeg drawtext ? [closed]

    When working with drawtext in ffmpeg, it allows to enable box to show behind the text, and also allows to assign some background color to it.

    


    But when it comes to multiline text, let's say there are three lines as shown in picture as current result :

    It never align text to center. But I want results like shown below :

    This time am using following ffmpeg command to draw text :

    


    -vf "drawtext=text='${text}': x=((w*${x})/${DIMENSIONS.width}): y=((h*${y})/${DIMENSIONS.height}):fontsize=36:fontcolor=yellow@0.9: box=1: boxcolor=black@0.6:boxborderw=20" -c:a copy

    


  • Using ffmpeg with xvfb renders a cropped version of the screen

    I’m using the following command to render a video of a chrome browser running inside a virtual frame buffer (using xvfb) :

    ffmpeg -f x11grab -i :5 -s `DISPLAY=:5 xdpyinfo | grep 'dimensions:'|awk '{print $2}'` -r 30 tests.mpg

    When I omit the DISPLAY=:5 xdpyinfo | grep 'dimensions:'|awk '{print $2}', it will render at about 1024x768, so I invoked xdpyinfo to get the resolution of the display and tell ffmpeg about it.

    But when I use the command, it shows the same cropped area, only stretched to fit the resolution I gave ffmpeg.

    I would like to be able to record the whole virtual frame buffer without cropping or stretching. Is there a way to do so ?

    I have compiled ffmpeg from source just this morning, running v2.8.git
