    On ne revendique pas d’être les seuls à faire ce que l’on fait ... et on ne revendique surtout pas d’être les meilleurs non plus ... Ce que l’on fait, on essaie juste de le faire bien, et de mieux en mieux...
    La liste suivante correspond à des logiciels qui tendent peu ou prou à faire comme MediaSPIP ou que MediaSPIP tente peu ou prou à faire pareil, peu importe ...
    On ne les connais pas, on ne les a pas essayé, mais vous pouvez peut être y jeter un coup d’oeil.

  • MediaSPIP Player : problèmes potentiels

    Le lecteur ne fonctionne pas sur Internet Explorer
    Sur Internet Explorer (8 et 7 au moins), le plugin utilise le lecteur Flash flowplayer pour lire vidéos et son. Si le lecteur ne semble pas fonctionner, cela peut venir de la configuration du mod_deflate d’Apache.
    Si dans la configuration de ce module Apache vous avez une ligne qui ressemble à la suivante, essayez de la supprimer ou de la commenter pour voir si le lecteur fonctionne correctement : /** * GeSHi (C) 2004 - 2007 Nigel McNie, (...)

    MediaSPIP est basé sur un système de thèmes et de squelettes. Les squelettes définissent le placement des informations dans la page, définissant un usage spécifique de la plateforme, et les thèmes l’habillage graphique général.
    Chacun peut proposer un nouveau thème graphique ou un squelette et le mettre à disposition de la communauté.

  • FFMPEG reports different (wrong) video resolution compared to how it actually plays

    Quick question, i have a movie, which was cut and rendered with Sony Vegas from its original format to a .wmv file. Here comes the tricky part, movie when played, either with VLC or WMP, has a resolution of 656x480 ... BUT when i run a ffmpeg -i on it, it says it has a resolution of 600x480 ....

    I took the time of actually capturing a frame and croping it with photoshop and its 656 and not 600 like ffmpeg its reporting, why would this could be happening ? How could i fix the headers resolution ? Would that have any impact on video re-rendering ? As i said, VLC and WMP seems not to care about the incorrect headers and are playing it right, BUT, jwplayer seems to be using the header information, which i don’t blame him, its correct to do that, but why the video headers could be wrong ?

    And yeah, the PAR/DAR parameters are also wrong, but honestly, i don’t understand that technical shit, usually watch video and make sure it look good, any feedback would be appreciated :P

    Is there a way to change the container information with ffmpeg so applications that actually do use the container information don’t render video incorrectly ?

    My issue was that my songs already had a thumbnail. Solution to overwrite thumbnail below !

    I am using Node to execute my ffmpeg. I use this wrapper :

    Everything was fine when I was using smaller versions of the thumbnails provided by Youtube, but when I attempted the HD ones, it suddenly started giving me an error. I’ve tried -pix_fmt yuv422p and Many other pixel formats, but nothing helped. Though ONE out of 100+ songs did tag successfully.

  • Merging .flv chunks from stream site

    I’m trying to download a video from an alternative version of the Ustream site. This site is apparently used for a DRM protection, in fact you can’t watch this video without having access to it through a login from this site.
    The video system should be the same used by ustream (same links), that is calling different flv chunks every x seconds and merging them into the stream (similar to an rtmp service, but it doesn’t use this protocol).

    I managed to download every .flv chunks composing this video, but i had issues on merging them into a single file. First of all these flvs files have some audio/video lags/problems, but since there is no other way to download this video i’m not complaining about lags.

    The real issue is that every flv file has an additive increase on the duration, despite having a normal size. Video duration is about 6 seconds, so the first chunk is 6 seconds long, the second chunk is 12 seconds long, although only the first 6 are visible (the remaining 6 are "corrupted"). If i try to merge (with ffmpeg or any video-joining software) all these files (about 600-700, for a total duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes) only the first two sections are visible, then I cannot see anything. (Being more clear, if i try to merge the first 2 chunks, file is 18 seconds long and i can see the first 12 ; if i try to merge the first 3 chunks, file is 36 seconds long and i can still only see the first 12 seconds.)

    Anyone has any idea ?
