Multiple HD video streaming using ffmpeg
24 mars 2014, par user1199722I am trying to stream HD rtsp streams (1080p) from IPcamera over LAN and displaying it.
streaming is done using openRTSP and decoding is done using ffmpeg.
For a single frame decoding takes 30-40ms and displaying it on the QTwindow takes another 6-7 ms. When streaming more than 2-3 cameras the whole system is not able to handle it.Can anybody tell me that what could be the best method to approach the problem. Right now I am using a machine with Pentium 64-bit processor with ubuntu 12.04LTS.Should I go for Graphics card ? If so which would be better for ffmpeg hardware acceleration ?
If I have to display 16 videos, Will one graphics card sufficient ? -
On demand RTSP streaming FFMPEG iPhone
23 mai 2014, par Tarun SeeraWe are using FFmpeg for real time streaming in iPhone.
For testing purpose we have hosted a video on local server. When we try to start stream avformat_open_input method always return error code -5.
I have read some where that is is I/O error but the same URL working fine on VLC media player.
If we start streaming on VLC first then play it on iPhone it works fine.
I am not getting where I am wrong the IP address and network connection both are fine. -
ffmpeg - output 5.1 AAC without lowpass on the LFE channel
1er janvier 2023, par blendmasterI'm trying to encode 6 arbitrary mono audio streams into a single AAC 5.1 track in an mp4 container (here with test streams) :

ffmpeg -f lavfi -i testsrc=duration=10:size=100x100:rate=30 -f lavfi -i aevalsrc="-2+random(0)" -filter_complex "[1:a][1:a][1:a][1:a][1:a][1:a]join=inputs=6:channel_layout=5.1:map=0.0-FL|1.0-FR|2.0-FC|3.0-LFE|4.0-BL|5.0-BR[a]" -map '0:v' -map "[a]" -c:a aac -channel_layout 5.1 -t 10 testlfe.mp4

5 of the channels replicate the input audio just fine (modulo encoding). However, the LFE channel is lowpassed. Extracting with :

ffmpeg -i testlfe.mp4 -filter_complex "channelsplit=channel_layout=5.1:channels=LFE[LFE]" -map '[LFE]' testlfe.wav

I get a lowpassed rumble, instead of the original full white noise

(from
ffmpeg -i testlfe.wav -lavfi showspectrumpic=s=640x320 testlfe.png
)

Is there a way to prevent the lowpass from happening ?

I couldn't find any references whether that's inherent to the AAC 5.1 encoding, something that ffmpeg does, or inherent to the decoding process. (I did decode my same test files using something that uses Microsoft MediaFoundation and the LFE channel was still lowpassed).
