• Batch-file script to automatically add an mp3 track to the same mp4 video in ffmpeg [closed]

  I have several video and audio files :

  


  

  • file 01.mp3

  


  • file 01.mkv

  


  • file 02.mp3

  


  • file 02.mkv

  


  • file 03.mp3

  


  • file 03.mkv

  


  


  what should be the script for ffmpeg to take each video file and add an additional second audio track with the same name (file 01.mkv + file 01.mp3) ?

  


  it's a main question

  


  But ultimately I need to get each video (let's say it's mp4) with 3 audio streams :

  


  

  1. mixed stream from mp3 (100%) + mkv (10% volume) - by default

  


  2. stream from mp3 file (100%)

  


  3. and last stream from mkv (100% volume)

  


  


  I would like to write all these commands in one batch-file

  


  I already use .bat files to automatically convert to another format (for example) :

  


  for %%i in (*.mkv) do (
ffmpeg -y -i "%%i" -c copy "%%~ni.mp4"
)


  


  As far as I understand, for the audio track task I need to set a variable for .mp3 (besides %%i ) and make it compare to the .mkv name, but I don't understand how to do it correctly.

  


  to manually add a track, I use (for example) :

  


  ffmpeg -i video.mkv -i audio.mp3 -map 0 -map 1:a -c:v copy -shortest output.mkv


  


  to change the track order and set the default track, I use (for example) :

  


  ffmpeg -i input.mkv -map 0:v:0
-map 0:a:2 -map 0:a:0 -map 0:a:1 -map 0:a:3
-map 0:s -c copy
-disposition:a:0 default
reordered.mp4


  


  It takes a lot of time to do all this work with a lot of files. it would be great to delegate it to a machine.

  


• Need help on ffmpeg batch script

  Trying to make a ffmpeg batch scripts that makes proress 422 proxy files from raw .mov files thats located in many subfolders. So far i got this :

  But it doesn't output to the destination folder, only the source folder and ask for an overwrite - not what I want.

  I guess it's a simple parameter error that maybe some of you can spot out ?

• Script to cut video by silence part with FFMPEG

  So I was able to come up with a straightforward bash script that works on my Mac.

  Here it is (only argument is the name of the video to be cut, it will generate a file start_timestamps.txt with the list of silence starts if the file does not exist and reuse it otherwise) :

  Unfortunately it does not seem to work :

  I have a video that is basically a collection of clips, each clip being introduced by a 5 second silence with a static frame with a title on it. So I want to cut the original video so that each chunk is the 5 seconds "introduction" + video until the next introduction. Hope it’s clear.

  Anyway, in my script I first find all silence_start using ffmpeg silencedetect plugin. I get a start_timestamps.txt that read :

  141.126
  
  350.107
  
  1016.07
  
  etc.

  Then for example I would call (I don’t need to transcode again the video), knowing that (1016.07 - 350.107) = 665.963

  ffmpeg -ss 350.107 -i Some_video.mp4 -t 665.963 -c copy "Some_video02.mp4"

  The edge cases being the first chunk that has to go from 0 to 141.126 and the last chunk that has to go from last timestamp to end of the video.

  Anyway the start_timestamps seem legit. But my output chunks are completely wrong. Sometimes the video does not even play anymore in Quicktime. I don’t even have my static frame with the title in any of the videos...

  EDIT Ok as explained in the comments, if I echo $PREV while commenting out the ffmpeg command I get a perfectly legit list of values :

  With the ffmpeg command I get :

  50.107
  
  016.07
  
  etc.

  bash variable changes in loop with ffmpeg shows why.

  I just need to append < /dev/null to the ffmpeg command or add -nostdin argument. Thanks everybody.
