    I am pretty new to xcode world. I am looking for a Tutorial to help me out to create a mac osx xcode project that encodes one format of video to other.
    For example the app will take and avi file and convert it to mp4.
    I see that ffmpeg and other libraries are available but none i am aware of how to use them in a xcode project.
    I am looking for a very very simple form of http://handbrake.fr/ mac application.

    A link to - simple step by step explanation of how to use a simple dylib file would do.

  • How to add watermark text scrollable using ffmpeg vertically from right top to bottom

    Am using ffmpeg to transcode the video with text watermark. Below is my command that I am using but it scrolls the text bottom left to right.

    ffmpeg -i /usr/home/test.mp4 -vf "drawbox=x=iw-42:y=0:w=42:h=ih:color=black@0.5:t=80,drawtext=fontfile=/usr/share/fonts/truetype/freefont/FreeSerifBold.ttf:text='Hello World':fontcolor=white@1.0:fontsize=16: y=(mod(2*n\,h+th)-th):x=w-tw-10" -codec:v libx264 -codec:a copy -strict -2 /usr/home/out.mp4

    But I want vertical scrolling top to bottom.

    Can anyone help in this.

  • no server communication with browser ffmpeg

    I am using ffmep to convert my videos. Here is an example of a statement i use :

    ffmpeg -y -i $converturl -filter:v scale=\"640:trunc(ow/a/2)*2\",setsar=1/1 -pix_fmt yuv420p -c:v libx264 -preset:v fast -profile:v high -threads \"16\" -x264opts level=4.0:ref=1 -b:v 400k -r:v 25/1 -force_fps  -movflags +faststart -c:a libfaac -b:a 128k -pass 1 $converturlnew

    Now when a website user uploads a video, i convert it into 4 formats in the backend. the problem i face is when the video is being converted, there is communication loss between the user’s browser and the server. the website stops working on the browser. when the video is converted, it starts working again.

    what could be the problem ?
