  • Automated installation script of MediaSPIP

    25 avril 2011, par

To overcome the difficulties mainly due to the installation of server side software dependencies, an "all-in-one" installation script written in bash was created to facilitate this step on a server with a compatible Linux distribution.
You must have access to your server via SSH and a root account to use it, which will install the dependencies. Contact your provider if you do not have that.
The documentation of the use of this installation script is available here.

  • Video processing / playback with alpha channel in C# or C++ [closed]

    2 avril 2013, par Corylulu

    WHAT I'M AFTER

I've been exploring the best ways to do this, but seem to keep running into hiccups when trying to playback video and then grab the frame with an alpha channel (ARGB) to then be further manipulated.

I've gotten everything to work with AForge to then find out that the Alpha gets stripped out during the process. I considered OpenCV, but the Emgu CV has a different license that I can't use and I can't verify that OpenCV can read Alpha channels as well.

I looked into FFMPEG .NET wrappers, but haven't found any that are out of their alpha phase or have a license I can use them with (since this could be used for commercial purposes and can't be open sourced)

So I'm looking for a library that is preferably C# or C++ that can play a .MOV or .AVI while preserving it's alpha channel when I make it into a Bitmap.

    SUMMARY [TL ;DR]

I'm looking for library / sample code

    • Written preferably in C#, C++ as a fallback. Hopefully easy enough to use.
    • Can playback AVI and MOV files
    • Will preserve the alpha channel
    • Will allow me to access each frame's ARGB values directly
    • Preferably something that uses the FFMPEG library since it's able to read most formats I need
  • Get image from webcam, convert that image into something else, and returning it back to the client

    29 janvier 2023, par immigration9

I have some questions on choosing the right architectural decision to solve my problem.

I am planning to create an app, which takes the

    1. input from a client's (a browser) webcam,

    2.

    3. sending the input to the server (whether frame by frame, or just live stream video)

    4.

    5. getting each frame from the server (into a image)

    6.

    7. convert the image using some technology (let's say like a tiktok filter)

    8.

    9. returning the image back to the client in real time.

    10.

Except for the phase 4 which the technology can only be applied on an image,
Everything else can be changed.

I'm targeting 30fps (or at least 20) with 1080p quality.

The language or framework is completely agnostic as I do not have any preference. Right now, I am thinking of using React with Node, but I'm opened to other options as well. (eg. Python maybe. Language doesn't matter)

If anyone have some prior experiences, can you teach me the best way ?

I've tried to create the image blob from client and send it to the server using socket.io but it seemed too slow to use when targeted at 30fps on 1080p image.

I'm currently looking at WebRTC with fluent-ffmpeg, but not sure if it's the right way.

Any kind of help will be appreciated.

  • QCamera switch input pin number

    14 décembre 2017, par Preonix

I have chinese video grabber which should work with my program. It has 2 connection variants : S-VIDEO and COMPOSITE.

In native program bundled with this hardware I can switch input source from s-video to composite and vice versa. But I need to do it in my programm and I’ve founded solution with the help of FFMPEG. Just switch pin_number and that’s it. No need to know driver API of hardware.

Another problem is that I can not attach this library to my CMAKE project, and I just thought that Qt could has some "switch pin_number" aswell, but I cant find anything useful in qt-docs.

Thanks for any advices and sorry for my english, cheers !
