  • How to get video stream information with RtspClientSharp library ?

    13 septembre 2022, par theateist

I use RtspClientSharp to receive video frames from rtsp stream. The library allows just to receive the frames. But, I need to get information about the stream, such as bitrate, codec and etc. I don't see that there is currently an option for this in the library.

    1. Do I miss something or I need to modify the RtspClientSharp code to support this ?
    2.

    3. Other alternative is to write a helper code in c++ which uses ffmpeg. I can use pinvoke to call c++ code which will connect to the rtsp stream (in addition to RtspClientSharp client), get the stream information and send it back to my c# code. Is this a better alternative ?

  • Convert HLS stream to mp4 with Java [closed]

18 avril 2017, par Wessel Oosthuizen

I have a requirement to convert a HLS (m3u8) stream to something I can download from a web browser, with Java. Currently I play video clips via a remote HLS stream in the browser using video.js. But I can’t take that URL and grab the bytes for the end user to download it, like I can if it was a mp4 stream.

I found the question below, which makes it seem possible using ffmpeg command line. I am familiar with the javacv library and FrameGrabber, etc... But I can’t figure out how to apply that library to this case.

Converting an HLS (m3u8) to MP4

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks

  • Extract frames from live youtube stream

    21 décembre 2022, par irman

I want to extract frames from a youtube live event, say one frame every 5 minutes, ideally without saving the stream to my local machine. Is there a simple way to do this, possibly a combination between youtube-dl and ffmpeg that I am not figuring out ? I found a similar question for UDP streams but don't know how to include the youtube stream : FFMPEG : extract a fram from a live stream once every 5 seconds

Thanks a lot in advance !
