    I am working on ARM926EJ-s based FPGA board, having h.264 & mpeg-4 hardware video decoders and linux is running on ARM926EJ-s.

    I've video driver for decoders and a small test application to initiate decoding & dump out yuv images.

    I am looking for ways to use this hardware decoders for video decoding from a media player (mplayer, totem, etc.).

    I am not much aware of multimedia framework.what would be the best place to start with.
    I've few choices like,
    mplayer, which is very tightly coupled with ffmpeg. (anyone tried using hardware decoding with it ?)
    totem which can be configured to use gstreamer.(seems good option as gst can use openmax IL codecs)

    Any other player/suggestion which can help me is welcome.

    I want make thumbnails from videos uploaded to S3, I know how to make it with Node.js and ffmpeg.

    According to this forum post I can add libraries :

    ImageMagick is the only external library that is currently provided by
    default, but you can include any additional dependencies in the zip
    file you provide when you create a Lambda function. Note that if this
    is a native library or executable, you will need to ensure that it
    runs on Amazon Linux.

    But how can I put static ffmpeg binary on aws lambda ?

    And how can I call from Node.js this static binary (ffmpeg) with AWS Lambda ?

    I’m newbie with amazon AWS and Linux

    Can anyone help me ?
