• Swift Get video stream duration

  I have a problem with a video which has an audio stream longer than the video stream according to ffmpeg command line :

  ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -vcodec copy -an -f null -   <--- video stream duration
  
  ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -acodec copy -an -f null -   <--- audio stream duration

  For example, the the first command gives a list of data including the stream duration of 3.64 and the second 3.80.

  I need to retrieve the video stream duration on Swift. I tried this :

• Downloading a Few Seconds of Audio from a Youtube Video with ffmpeg and youtube-dl Results in [youtube] : No such file or directory error

  Below is the program that I wrote :

  ffmpeg -ss 60 -t 10 -i $(youtube-dl -f 140 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDCk3hLIVXo) output.mp3

  This is supposed to get 10 seconds of audio starting at the one minute mark of the video and write it to output.mp3. If I run the youtube-dl command separately, and then the ffmpeg command with the entire video audio as input, it works. But, I do not want to download the entire video as well as create a new file with only a few seconds of audio.

  In its current state, I am getting [youtube] : No such file or directory errors. Does anyone know how I can fix this and keep it in one line ?

• youtube-dl got a 3gp file, apparently it doesn't contain any video streams. Is there some way to play the video ?

  I tried downloading a video with youtube-dl with 3gp format. When I try to play it on VLC or any other application it doesn’t play. This is the output I get when trying to download it again.

  With this information, I don’t know how to proceed. I already tried ffmpeg with the max analyzeduration and probesize and it still doesn’t work. Any ideas ?
