• ffmpeg - escaping single quotes doesn't work [duplicate]

  I've written a small python script for mass converting audio files. It uses ffmpeg. The problem is it doesn't work for files with single quotes in their filenames.

  2. When escaping single quote ' with double backslashes \\ - file=file.replace("'","\\\\'") the cmd for ffmpeg is :

     


  


  


  ffmpeg -n -i '/home/kris/Music/test/I\\'m a file.flac' -c:a libopus -b:a 320k '/home/kris/Music/test_opus/I\\'m a file.opus'


  


  ffmpeg returns an error : /home/kris/Music/test/I\\m: No such file or directory

  


  

  3. When escaping single quote ' with a single backslash \ - file=file.replace("'","\\'") the cmd for ffmpeg is :

  


  


  ffmpeg -n -i '/home/kris/Music/test/I\'m a file.flac' -c:a libopus -b:a 320k '/home/kris/Music/test_opus/I\'m a file.opus'


  


  I got an error :

  


  /bin/sh: 1: Syntax error: Unterminated quoted string


  


  According to ffmpeg docs : https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-utils.html#toc-Examples escaping with single backslash should work.

  The values of FLT,DBL_MAX,MIN macros on some systems (older musl
  
  libc, some BSD flavours) are not exactly representable, i.e.
  
  (double)DBL_MAX == DBL_MAX is false
  
  This violates (at least some interpretations of) the C99 standard and
  
  breaks code (e.g. in vf_fps) like

• How to work with failover in multiple outputs in ffmpeg

  I am working on an application where in i need to store the video as well as stream the video

  So my command is

  ffmpeg -s 1280x720 -f v4l2 -vcodec h264 -i /dev/video0 -copyinkf -vcodec
  
  copy -f rtp rtp://192.168.0.10:8090/ -vcodec copy test.mp4

  And now the issue is that if there is no server listening at 192.168.0.10:8090, the whole command fails.

  I want that it should write to the other outputs even if the network stream fails.

  Any help appreciated.
