  • ffmpeg.so in PHP exec converting and no return

    13 juin 2015, par Tom

    I have seen many threads, but none working ones, so this is my issue :

    I have server installed ffmpeg (ffmpeg-php version 0.7.0, PHP Version 5.4.41) Linux CentOS 6 64bit :

    Using PHP :

    exec('/usr/lib64/php/modules/ffmpeg.so -i test.mp4 testdone.avi',$out,$ret);

    or

    exec('/usr/lib64/php/modules/ffmpeg.so -i /var/www/html/test.mp4 /var/www/html/testdone.avi',$out,$ret);

    or

    exec('/usr/lib64/php/modules/ffmpeg.so -i /var/www/html/test.mp4 /var/www/html/testdone.avi'.' 2>&1',$out,$ret);

    the ffmpeg is actually found, but always returns : array(0) { } int(11) and with 2>&1 returns array(0) { } int(139) and does not return anything else like testdone.avi in the directory or -version (in the directory). Directories /var/www/html/ are set to 777.

    Thank you, should I hire someone to fix this or am I missing something in PHP.

  • ffprobe "Could not seek to position" when using -read_intervals parameter [closed]

    9 novembre 2024, par GiulioT

    I'm trying to extract lavfi stats from an mp4 video by using a command like :

    ffprobe -read_intervals 5%6 -f lavfi -i "movie=test_video.mp4,signalstats" -show_frames -print_format json

    It works on OSX (ffprobe version N-117609-g6cf4186d1b-tessus), but when I try to do it on Ubutu 22.04 (with ffprobe version 6.1-static or ffprobe version 4.4.2-0ubuntu0.22.04.1), I always get an error :

    Could not seek to position 5000000: Invalid argument Could not read packets in interval id:0 start:5 end:6

    It works if I only specify the end of the interval.

    I tried several mp4 files.
It seems like the function avformat_seek_file always returns a negative number, no matter what the syntax of the time is used (00:00:05%6, 5%6, 0%6).
It works if no start time is specified (i.e. %5).

    Any clue what the problem could be ?

    Thank you

  • FFMPEG Streaming Issue - "Connection Failed : I/O Error"

    25 avril 2023, par 1080Jake

    For a fun project I wanted to see if I could create an SRT stream from an active SDI input (1080i59.94) on a BMD Decklink Quad card. Whenever I try to execute my syntax, I get the following prompt "Connection to srt ://127.0.0.1:1234 failed : I/O error"
Is there anyway to use a debug mode and get more details about what is causing this ? I am very new to FFMPEG and obviously clueless. This is the syntax I am trying to execute -

    C:\Users\01>ffmpeg -f decklink -i "DeckLink Quad (8)" -c:v libx265 -preset ultrafast -b:v 5000k -f mpegts srt://127.0.0.1:1234

    Full printout here -

    C:\Users\01>ffmpeg -f decklink -i "DeckLink Quad (8)" -c:v libx265 -preset ultrafast -b:v 5000k -bufsize 3000k -f mpegts srt://127.0.0.1:1234

    Instead of using an SDI input from my BMD card, I also tried to use a local mp4 file on my PC but I get the same prompt. Note - I am running FFMPEG on a Windows 10 PC.
