  • ffmpeg : Generate empty audio and video (working for video)

    17 septembre 2021, par David Ferris

    I'm trying to generate a black video with FFMPEG. I have accomplished this with the following :

    ffmpeg -t 5 -f lavfi -i color=c=black:s=1920x1080 -c:v libx264 -tune stillimage -pix_fmt yuv420p out.mp4

    Unfortunately this video doesn't have any audio tracks. Following this, I have tried to insert -i anullsrc=channel_layout=stereo:sample_rate=44100 :

    ffmpeg -t 5 -i anullsrc=channel_layout=stereo:sample_rate=44100 -f lavfi -i color=c=black:s=1920x1080 -c:v libx264 -tune stillimage -pix_fmt yuv420p out.mp4

    Unfortunately this gives the error :

    anullsrc=channel_layout=stereo:sample_rate=44100 : No such file or
directory

    How can I modify my initial script to generate a video with empty audio ?

  • ffmpeg : how to take wav as audio input for creating a video ?

    2 janvier 2020, par Martin

    I’m trying to use ffmpeg for rendering video where an audio file and image are taken as inputs, and turned into a video with the same dimensions as the image with the audio file playing for the duration of the video (basically a music video).

    I have this working for flac and mp3 files, my ffmpeg command for mp3 is below :

    ffmpeg -loop 1 -framerate 2 -i "front.png" -i "testMP3file.mp3" -vf "scale=2*trunc(iw/2):2*trunc(ih/2),setsar=1" -c:v libx264 -preset medium -tune stillimage -crf 18 -c:a copy -shortest -pix_fmt yuv420p -strict -2 "testMP3fileOutput1.mp4"

    How can I take wav audio files as input instead of mp3 ? Is there a different codec I need to specify ? This post talks about download libfaac and using that, is there any way to take wav audio file as input using just ffmpeg without downloading a separate library ?

  • Parsing An ArrayList of BufferedImages From FFmpeg

    4 juin 2015, par user3725743

    I am using FFmpeg in my java app to turn a video into an ArayList of BufferedImages. Im am using this code to split a video file into individual jpg frames :

    builder.command(FFmpeg, "-i", "<video url="url">", "-vf", "fps=5,scale=128:128,format=rgb8,format=rgb24", "out%d.jpg");
    </video>

    This produces a folder full of jpg frames, it works fine. But I would rather not write them to individual files, I would rather make that output turned into an ArrayList of BufferedImages, WITHOUT having to write each frame to a seperate file.

    This should be what the command line would look like for the above code :

    FFmpeg.exe -i <video url="url"> -vf fps=5,scale=128:128,format=rgb8,format=rgb24 out%d.jpg
    </video>

    If its not possible to parse the ArrayList directly, what other solutions do I have which would be more elegant ?
