    I’m having a problem when playing MPEG-dash streaming with ffmpeg. I know there are a lot of tools can play MPEG-dash like OSMO4, DASH.js.. However, I am wondering if I can play MPEG-dash with FFMPEG ?
    And one more question, How can I determine startup time when playing MPEG-dash streaming ? It means, the duration time when I request a MPD file from a server until I get the first picture of video display on a screen ?

  • When player client starts to play a dash media

    I'm working on Android Player for playing dash media.

    


    In order to enable video starting fast, I preload a part of dash media, now the size of preload is 600kb.

    


    As you see, 600kb is a magic number. In my opinion, different size should be preloaded for different dash file.

    


    All start position of dash media is 0.

    


    I want to know : How to know the size of dash media which can support player starts to play ?

  • is that possible to serv hls and dash mpeg both at a time

    actually i’m a kind a newbie to the Nginx RTMP server. I had setup my nginx.conf file to accept both hls and dash-mpeg. but the now problem is at a once I can able to serve either of the hls or dash-mpeg. so now my question is that possible to serve both hls and dash-mpeg at the same time for two different videos ? I’m streaming video from OBS Studio.
    here are my MPEG and hls code in nginx.conf file
