  The first part of my script that asks whether to check for cinavia doesn’t work. That is, if I type in ’y’ or ’Y’ it doesn’t proceed to the CNVIACHk function but goes instead to the MVIEPARAMs function.

• How to Fix Problem Drawer Text and Join with FFmpeg

  I have two short videos with good state (input1.mp4, input2.mp4).
  I use ffmpeg to edit videos.

  Part 1
  I combine two videos, it works correctly

  Part 2
  I draw text on input1.mp4, result output1.mp4, it works correctly.
  I join two videos (output1.mp4, input2.mp4), its join success. But result video is corrupt.

  I use these comands ffmpeg

  Combine Videos
  ffmpeg -y -f concat -safe 0 -i list.txt -c copy merged.mp4

  Draw Text on Video
  ffmpeg -y -i input1.mp4 -vf "drawtext=fontfile=/Windows/fonts/arialbd.ttf : text=’Some Text’ : fontcolor=white : fontsize=50 : box=1 : boxcolor=black@0.5 : boxborderw=5 : x=(w-text_w)/2 : y=(h-text_h/2)" -codec:a copy output1.mp4

• ffmpeg : Missing subtitles on iPod

  I generating a playable video on a 3rd generation iPod Nano using the following command line, but I’m having certain challenges related to subtitles, stability and metadata.

  1. Subtitles won’t show. I tried both iPod settings "Subtitles On" and "Captions On". iPod software is latest 1.1.3. Subtitles show with OS X QuickTime after I change from "Auto" to "English" in the subtitle menu. Is there an ffmpeg flag to make subtitles display on the iPod ?

  2. The video player exits after 11-12 minutes for many of the converted videos. Restricting the bitrate -b:v 600k -bufsize 600k did not help. Any advice how to circumvent this ?

  3. Lastly, how can I make the video show under the "TV show" menu on the iPod ? Couldn’t find any help searching for "ffmpeg metadata tv". Or is this an internal iTunes feature ?
